My tank was in the garage, and the original idea was to use it to grow severed limbs, and the enlarged limbs would be used in a tank that I had recently started building in the wall, but this cylinder could take months to complete, because work and life would go on as usual.

I've always liked anything related to water. In my earliest childhood memories, I can remember fishing in the river with my father. I used to love catching fish, but over time I've found that I prefer to keep them as pets rather than catch them out of the water. My previous first fish was rescued (won) from the exhibition. It was a little goldfish, and I was about 6 years old. My fish farming career began with many freshwater fish tanks, both cold and tropical. At the age of 26, I had my first marine fish tank. My first marine fish tank was a soft coral tank with 1 to 2 lps. I'm 35 years old and I'm still fascinated by corals and reef tanks.

For the water flow in the cylinder, I used a tunze 6080 flow pump and two tunze 6025 nano flow pumps in the main cylinder, and all three pumps were modified, so I don't know their specific power. The backwater pump of the bottom cylinder uses a laguna pond pump. I forgot his model, which was about 3500 l/h.

The algae tank is pumped with a small eheim hobby. Water flows from the algae tanks on high to the sps severed limb tanks. The lower SPS amputation cylinder is flow-produced with a modified 6025nano pump.

Filtration is easy to use and simple. The thick sand system and linear algae form a bio-organic composition. Through what I can only say is the best egg refef octopus xp 3000 cone skimmer treatment I have ever used, the physically filtered waste is removed very efficiently. The efficiency of this egg is really amazing, about 20 liters per week.

There are no living stones in my tank, only a little bit of dead coral bone. For sps, a traditional misconception is to put too many stones, so that the space left for staghorn corals to grow is very small. At the same time I put the corals together so that a foundation is formed, and the corals fill the fish tank instead of the stones. I know which corals I want, they're going to be put there and how they're going to grow.

To be honest, I wouldn't let an aquarium computer run my tank even if my head burned. You just have to look at dell or HP computers that have spent millions on R&D — because I know so many tragic stories about resorting to computers. I don't think a coral tank should be controlled by a computer. Maybe monitoring equipment is OK, but I won't use just one.

My maintenance is very simple. Change 40l of water per week. Currently I use Red Sea high-calcium salt, but I am also happy to try most of the well-known brands. I used salt overnight. The salinity is adjusted to 1.025 and tested with an optical salinity meter. Rub the cylinder once every 2 to 3 days, or when needed. I only test for alkalinity on a regular basis. I try to test once a week, but lately I've been a bit lax, just 1 to 2 months. Calcium and magnesium are measured every other month. Temperature is measured once a week. Other data are unpredictable.

The life of raising corals fascinates me. I am passionate about tropical marine life, especially corals. I was lucky enough to be able to dive on tropical reefs around the world. The Red Sea and the Indian Ocean are marvelous, with an astonishing biodiversity. He created so much excitement in my life that on my first dive, stupid words like "Wow" and "My God" kept coming out of my mouth. Finally, I would like to thank my wife, Annika, who endured all kinds of floods and smells over the years.
