Shanghai and Xinjiang join hands to let Silk Road specialties "plug in" the wings of the Internet

Shanghai, 25 Oct (Xinhua) -- Karamay not only produces oil, but also produces pomegranates, tea and other agricultural products, and these "cold knowledge" about the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region are being popularized through an increasingly developed online logistics system in China's eastern coastal cities.

The recently launched "Silk Road Heart Selection • I Come from Xinjiang" supply chain platform project, jointly built by Shanghai and Xinjiang, aims to establish a digital supply chain system with close "product-channel-consumption", formulate a set of product circulation standards, and conveniently transport more Xinjiang characteristic products "raised in the deep boudoir" to all parts of the country to expand sales volume and enhance popularity.

With the support of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government Office in Xinjiang and the Shanghai Counterpart Support Karamay City Forward Command, the "Silk Road Heart Selection • I Come from Xinjiang" supply chain platform project has been connected with nearly 800 enterprises since its trial operation. This summer, the project team went to Karamay, Ili, Changji, Urumqi, Kashgar and other places for on-site promotion.

At the same time, the project will rely on relevant enterprises in Shanghai to set up 500 warehouses across the country to ensure nationwide warehousing and operation, and then make full use of logistics cooperation resources such as trunk line transportation, same-city distribution, and express delivery of Xinjiang products to consumers with the fastest timeliness, and at the same time establish a product traceability system.

Ouyang Jianshan, general manager of Xinjiang Silk Road Xinxuan Network Technology Co., Ltd., said that building a "through train" for enterprise consumption to help farmers and open up all aspects of the industrial chain and supply chain is also a positive attempt to base on Xinjiang and practice the strategy of rural revitalization.
