Bao Gu Cang Method

The raw materials of baogu are very simple, that is, sweet baogu, high-quality glutinous rice, millet, and white sugar.

First, beat the high-quality sweet bun into a bag of grain flour and set aside, then select the high-quality glutinous rice with long and full grains and soak it in cold water overnight, while soaking a little millet overnight.

In the early morning of the second day, the grain flour is properly mixed with mountain spring water and a little white sugar (according to personal preferences to determine the amount added) and stirred evenly, and then stirred again according to a certain proportion with the glutinous rice and millet soaked the night before to make it into a bag of grain paste.

Fold the wide and thick rice dumpling leaves picked in the deep mountain forest into a funnel shape, then put the rice dumplings evenly into the rice dumpling leaves with a spoon, wait to be loaded to the mouth of the "funnel", fold and cover the remaining rice dumpling leaves in half, and then place them in the steamer basket in turn, steaming for about 25 minutes on low heat.

Enshi Baogu rice has a sweet and nutritious taste. Gently peeled off, the color is crystal clear, golden and brilliant, and its taste is soft and sticky, which is very different from the rice dumplings and rice dumplings made with glutinous rice. Its taste is slightly sweet and light, sweet but not greasy, both the aroma of corn and the fragrance of rice dumpling leaves. At the same time, as a naturally grown, non-toxic and pollution-free rice dumpling leaf for packaging, it has the functions of clearing heat and stopping bleeding, detoxification and swelling. Therefore, Xuan'en Bao Gucang is especially loved by middle-aged and elderly friends and children.
