No one has ever mentioned this issue, or rather, the issue itself is not important. In view of the revision of township history this time, the editor believes that since it is a revision of local history, it is necessary to clarify some historical facts of the locality. According to some data, it was preliminarily determined that from the beginning of the Han Dynasty to the end of the Yuan Dynasty, the seat of administration of Shucheng County should be in Taoxi Town.

First of all, the old county chronicle says: "There is a Shuwangdun in the northern thirty miles of the county, which is said to be the tomb of the Marquis of HanTangjie, the city or in Yan." Marquis Qianjie's name was Liu Xin (劉信), a native of the late Qin and early Han dynasties, and his father Liu Bo was the eldest brother of Liu Bang, the ancestor of Han Gao. After Liu Bang became emperor, he made Liu Xin the Marquis of Tangjie and mu shou Shucheng. Liu Xin enjoyed a second-class knighthood, and the pastoral side must have administrative and judicial powers, and it is inevitable to set up courts and prisons in his administrative offices to form a local government, and the local government station must be the administrative center of a county. And this administrative center is in today's Taoxi Town, so the old "County Chronicle" says: "The city or Yan." ”

Second, according to the "Yuanfeng Jiuyu Chronicle", "Xia, Shucheng, one hundred and ten miles southwest of the prefecture, erxiang, Jiujing (now Jiujing Village, Wanfohu Town, Shucheng County), Xincang (present-day Xincang Community, Fengle Town, Feixi County), Taocheng (present-day Taoxi Town, Shucheng County), and Hangbu (present-day Hangbu Town, Shucheng County) four towns. "Prefecture, referring to Luzhou, is located in today's Hefei City. "Yuanfeng Jiuyu Zhi" is a national geographical general chronicle of the Northern Song Dynasty, which was first cultivated in the eighth year of Song Shenzong Xining (1075) and completed in the third year of Song Shenzong Yuanfeng (1080), so it is called "Yuanfeng Jiuyu Zhi". The blueprint on which the Yuanfeng Nine Domain Chronicles are based is the Ten Dao Diagrams published in the early Tang Dynasty. The "Tao" was an ancient local administrative unit. In the first year of Tang Zhenguan (627), the country was divided into 10 provinces according to the direction of the mountain and river situation. The "Ten Dao Map" is based on the "Ten Dao" delineated in the early Tang Dynasty. The "Ten Maps" has both text and pictures, and is a provincial atlas like today. This provincial atlas was transmitted to the Song Dynasty, and the Song Dynasty people took its text and discarded its map, incorporated a large number of new contents, and compiled a "Chronicle of the Nine Domains of Yuanfeng". The historical value of the "Yuanfeng Jiuyu Zhi" is very high, and the whole book records the geography, population, local products, folklore and other aspects of the provinces, states and counties in different ways, which is an indispensable reference book for future historians. Both the "Ten Dao Map" and the "Yuanfeng Nine Domain Chronicles" belong to the state-level publications and are all national geography general records, while a national geography general history is impossible to enter the national geography without belonging to the county-level administrative units.

Third, in the Qing Dynasty, there was a gentleman from Shucheng named Tao Rong who wrote to the then Luzhou government requesting the removal of the newly established Shuhe County in Taoxi Town, and he wrote in this letter: "There is no official in Taoxi Town, and there have been no extraordinary things in the past three hundred years." Tao Rong was a member of the Qing Kangxi Dynasty, and the Qing Kangxi Dynasty was about 300 years away from the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, that is to say, from the beginning of the Ming Dynasty to the Kangxi Dynasty, Taoxi Town did not have an official, which shows what is a problem? In the old system, the imperial power was not lower than the county, only the county seat had the official government and officials, and there was no dispatch agency such as the current township organ or related unit below the county. Tao Rong's era dates back 300 years, because the county government was transferred, so Taoxi did not have an official, that is to say, 300 years ago, there was an official office in Taoxi Town, that is, the county government Yamen.

Fourth, the "Old Record of Shucheng Qi" records: "In the second year of Emperor Wenzong of Yuan's reign (1331), more than 10,000 residents of Taoxi county were moved to Taoxi North Street, and the affairs of Public Security were handled by Si Li Zhengbi and public security." Xie Li Puhua was a Mongol from the second year of Emperor Taiding of Yuan Yingzong (1325) to the second year of Emperor Wenzong of Yuan to the second year of Shun (1331).
