The franz kafka videogame is a familiar name for the game, but developer denis galanin's previous works are very strange, such as Hamlet or the last game without mmorpg features, shaders, and product placements. This "Franz Kafka" won a grand prize of $5,000 at the 2015 Intel Livel up contest and was recently spotted by publisher Daedalic, who announced that it would land on Steam on April 6.
Franz Kafka is a unique surrealist puppet adventure game that uses a click-and-click interactive puzzle to provide a roughly 4-hour gameplay about a man named K who receives an offer to hire and thus changes his life. He set foot in a distant green city and found that the world beyond his perception was even stranger than he had expected.
The game does not provide "rpg elements" such as inventory, nor does it have boss battles, only original logic puzzles, unique charm drawing style, and a lot of Kafka-style surrealist intentions. It is currently priced at $10.
