The flowers flutter when the cuckoo cries
Rhododendron adenosum davidian is a member of the genus Rhododendron (hey, simple and easy to remember) "rhododendron" is Latin for "rhododendron", and "davidian" is the namer (yes!). The name of the new species should be added to the name of the namer, cool). Its Chinese name, and the "Kulu" in "Kuru Rhododendron" is the name of the place where it was found- the Kulu Mountains in Muli County, Sichuan Province.
It was once thought to be a variant of the rhododendron glischrum balf. f. et w. w. smith, which was not promoted to species until 1978.
It is a shrub with young branches and petioles densely covered with glandular bristles. Leaf leather (a type of leaf, oh, because the stratum corneum is thick and shiny, like leather, so it is called leaf leather), the leaves are ovate to lanceolate, or oval.

Its corolla is funnel-shaped bell shape (think haha), pale pink with purple-red spots. It grows in pine forests at altitudes of 3350–3550 m.

Unfortunately, due to the rarity of the rhododendron, we are not clear about its flower and fruit period. (There will be!) There will be one in the future! ）
Although niche, although seemingly meaningless, every organism is part of species diversity, and the extinction of every species is an irreparable loss. Not only for the cuckoo, but also for the protection and rescue of other "niche" plants, it is particularly important.
