According to the staff, these azaleas are alpine rhododendrons from the Baili Rhododendron Scenic Area in Bijie City, Guizhou Province, more than 2,000 kilometers away, and they are meeting tourists and citizens for the first time in Yuyuantan Park. It is understood that alpine rhododendron likes cold and cool, suitable for growing in high humidity, sufficient water and rich humus, and grows mostly in high mountains, tundra, rocky places or swampy areas, it is a national second-class key protected wild plant, ornamental is mostly used for artificial pot cultivation, extremely cold-resistant, especially in high-altitude areas, is the focus of plants in the garden landscape. In order to prolong the ornamental period, the potted alpine rhododendrons on display this time deliberately selected those with many flower buds and buds to be released, and the flowering period can last throughout the May Day holiday. In addition, the park's rape flowers, lewd fruits, acacia and other flowers will also enter the viewing period in early May.
