Yuan Yelie and Duan Suquan suffered similarly. In 1931, he was seriously wounded in a battle in Guangxi, and then went to Shanghai to recuperate, unfortunately arrested in Shanghai, because his true identity was never revealed, and was released in October 1935. Due to the delay in reaching a conclusion by the organization, Yuan Yelie could only be made a major general. In fact, Yuan Yelie's seniority is very old, he was a party member during the Great Revolution, when he joined the party, Peng Dehuai and He Long had not yet joined the party, and he also participated in the Northern Expedition and the Nanchang Uprising.
