——Lin Yuhua family style family training
How much do you know about Fuzhou Cangshan Luozhou? It is the hometown of general Wu Shi and the last imperial master Chen Baochen, the latent prototype "Secret Envoy No. 1", and the hometown of Lin Zexu's enlightened mentor Lin Yuhua and Sun Yat-sen's secretary general Lin Gengbai. There are many historical celebrities who have come out of here, and the Lin Yuhua we want to introduce to you today is a Fuzhou sage whom Lin Zexu admires very much.

In the Lin Zexu Memorial Hall on Macao Road in Fuzhou, there was once a portrait of a famous qing dynasty Fuzhou celebrity who was wearing shackles and locks, but he was Lin Yuhua.
Lin Yuhua, Zi Xi Wu, Fuzhou Luozhou people. At a young age, he was favored by Ji Xiaolan, then a Scholar and Politician of Fujian, and in the thirty-third year of the Qianlong Dynasty, Lin Yuhua was 25 years old and served as a teacher in Hui'an, Nanping, Ningde and other places.
What is the lin yuhua cloak and lock in the portrait? According to Professor Lin Yi of the Party School of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee, a descendant of Lin Yuhua's fellow ethnic group, Lin Yuhua was honest and fierce in temperament, dared to speak out, was not afraid of angering the powerful, and often asked for the people's lives. Because when he was teaching in Ningde County, he opposed and exposed the collusion between officials and businessmen to offend shangguans, and was framed and imprisoned on the charge of fabricating.
Lin Yuhua was unyielding, refused to confess guilt, and after 7 months of detention, he was sent to Xinjiang, and on the way there, he was brutally persecuted, experiencing nine deaths, and a few years later, when the Jiaqing Emperor succeeded to the throne, Lin Yuhua was pardoned. At the same time, with the change of political winds, a major shock also occurred in the Fujian officialdom, and a number of officials fell off their posts in the anti-corruption campaign, including the prefect who framed Lin Yuhua, and a very dramatic scene occurred on Lin Yuhua's way back to his hometown. The prefect was also sent to Xinjiang, and the two met on the way, and Lin Yuhua gave him a poem: "Three hundred platinums are also small, bear with the famous sect to sweep away the dust, so as to return the Heavenly Dao Junzhi?" But I came back and forth. It is said that after reading this, the prefect fainted on the spot.
Lin Yuhua was nearly sixty years old when he returned to his hometown, and the people of Fuzhou had great respect for Lin Yuhua's scholarly personality, and we can see Lin Yuhua's circle of friends to know his position in Fuzhou Shilin. Lin Yuhua was close friends with Liang Zhangju and Lin Zexu, who later became prominent eunuchs in Minzhong Shuo, Liang Zhangju's father-in-law, Zheng Guangce, the head of Fuzhou Aofeng Academy, and Gong Jinghan, a famous eunuch of the Qing Dynasty, and others, and often talked about literature and taoism together. They all greatly respected and expounded the purpose of Zhu Zi lixue's "bright body to use" and "practical application through the world", which profoundly influenced Chen Ruolin, Liang Zhangju, Lin Zexu, Chen Gong, Lin Ruichun and other later generations.
In Lin Zexu's "Later Sequence" written for Lin Yuhua's anthology, there is a great respect for a senior as a junior. Feeling indignant and sympathetic to Lin Yuhua's persecution by powerful people; The prologue also expresses Lin Zexu's wish to take Lin Yu as an example and stand in the world. Later, Lin Zexu's glorious resume of exile in Xinjiang for the sake of national righteousness, not to seek disasters, and to sell cigarettes in Humen can be said to have come from his own.
Lin Yuhua's firmness and fortitude have a great relationship with the inheritance of the family style of Luozhou Quexialin, Luozhou Town is located in the southeast end of Nantai Island in Cangshan District, Fuzhou City, on the banks of the beautiful Wulong River, is a treasure land with pleasant scenery, long history and famous places. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, there were less than a thousand households with the surnames of Wu, Chen and Lin in Luozhou, but there were 27 zhongjin soldiers, 101 people, and 11 wuju people. Famous figures include: Wu Fu served as the Right Attendant of the Ministry of Works between Ming Hongwu, Chen Ruolin served as the Shangshu of the Punishment Department during the Light Years of the Qing Dynasty, and Chen Baochen was the "Taishi Taifu" of the late Qing Emperor Xuantong. The "Quexia Forest" of Luozhou, to which Lin Yuhua belongs, is also recognized as a cultural elite in Fuzhou.
In the ancient Chinese family style and family training, loyalty and filial piety are the core values. Since the Tang and Song dynasties, the "Que Xia Lin" has been known for its loyalty and filial piety. Lin Yuhua said in the poem "Re-show Nephew Zongyan": "In ancient times, du filial piety was called du filial piety, and it is in a difficult place." The more difficult the situation, the more it can reflect the pure color of filial piety. When he was exiled to Xinjiang, his father was more than 70 years old, and he was extremely concerned about his father, saying in the poem: "Eighty non-people cannot be warm, and I think of my father's heart and sorrow." After being exiled to Xinjiang, he still adhered to the path of qinggang's loyalty and filial piety, and wrote many poems exhorting his sons and nephews, both admonishing future generations and self-evident.
"But can keep the faithful, from the past no disadvantage" strong self-confidence, so that Lin Yuhua has never been discouraged in the predicament, and when he went through hardships, back to Fuzhou, his father is more than eighty years old, he was able to serve his father for ten years, father and son with the same stoic tenacity, optimism and open-mindedness, together cast a "ninety-year-old father, sixty jia'er" good story.
Lin Yuhua is extremely concerned about the children's learning and growth, he not only encourages the younger generations to pay special attention to their aspirations, to "think of being the first class in the world, and doing the first things in the world", but also not far away, sending home the reading materials and calligraphy posters, encouraging the children to study hard, and guiding the order and method of learning in detail in the poems. Lin Yuhua's concept of education is not only because he has been engaged in teaching for a long time, but also the embodiment of The tradition of Lin tutoring in Luozhou. During the Ming Yongle years, Lin Qi [jié], Lin Luan, and Lin Zhao [chēng] brothers and nephews were three, talented but had no intention of making a name for themselves, and took the task of cultivating latecomers in seclusion, then known as the "Three Talents of the Lin Clan". The "Kuiguang Pavilion" where they lived and studied in seclusion later became the famous Guanlan Academy, which cultivated a large number of talents, and after the end of the imperial examination, Guanlan Academy transformed into one of the earliest modern new-style schools in Fuzhou.
There is a subtle value orientation in the Lin family style, indifferent to fame and fortune, close to nature, not emphasizing the eunuch path but emphasizing family learning, abandoning the generation of followers, and there is no shortage of teachers for the talents of Luozhou.
In the article "Entering the Garden", Lin Yuhua described the beauty of his hometown Luozhou with great interest, reminding the people not to get used to the beautiful scenery in front of them. And explained the principle of "the land is heavy because of the people". He said: "The present-day Wu clan lives here, and if they have the land and can practice the festival, and if they have the ability to stand on their own, then why should Luo Zhizhou give way to the Sumen River?" "The beauty of Luozhou lies not only in its unique natural scenery, but also in the thick and long-standing humanistic accumulation of "the land is heavy because of people".
Lin Gengbai Poet and politician of the Republic of China period
Although the era of the imperial examination has long ended, but the Luozhou Lin clan continued to have a long history, the new era is also full of talents, according to Professor Lin Yi, he devoted himself to the study of classical philology and ancient literature, but also by the influence of the family origin. Under the entrustment of his father's Yin Yin, Professor Lin Yi used his profound philological skills, and after several years of careful proofreading, published the "Collected Poems of Lin Yuhua" in 2009, so that ordinary readers can read the poetry works of this Fuzhou sage, and Professor Lin Yi also compiled the Annals of Lin Yuhua and the Annals of Poetry with great care, so that future generations can intuitively understand the life of Lin Yuhua.
Reading his text and wanting to see him as a person, Lin Yuhua's indomitable love of morality and perseverance, his love of life, the love of the countryside's tranquility and moderation, the persecution of grief and indignation, and the love of relatives and friends, and the compassion of the world's Dun Hou and peace, so harmoniously gathered in one, sometimes eye-catching, sometimes making people smile, sometimes making people feel refreshed, sometimes making people think deeply.
In Fuzhou's thick humanistic accumulation, Lin Yuhua may just be an ordinary member, he has not been ambitious for a while, he is highly powerful, and he has not had earth-shattering achievements, but his kind of "looking up to the sky and not bowing down to people" and the valuable quality of the unity of knowledge and action have deeply affected future generations. Behind the figure of Lin Zexu Wei'an is a group of sages like Lin Yuhua who have passed on their torches and supports, in this sense, Lin Yuhua is worth reading carefully and deeply remembering.
