Shen Jinbo, a veteran of Peking Opera. Formerly known as Shen Xiaoqiu, a native of Beijing. Five generations of Pear Garden family, his father Shen Yuqiu and uncle Shen Yucai are all outstanding violinists with extraordinary talents. Shen Jinbo studied drama with his father at the age of seven, and was admitted to the Chinese Opera School at the age of ten, and should be ranked in the jade character department, but because his father was in the jade character ranking, the stage name did not use jade characters but used gold characters. Li Hezeng, who was one year old with Gao, also studied under Gao Qingkui, the founder of Gao Pai, and inherited a series of high-school famous dramas such as "Gifting Silk Robes", "Maling Road", and "Xiaoyaojin".

After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, in Jiao Juyin's "Peach Blossom Fan" adapted from Kong Shangren's original work, Shen Jinbo played the male protagonist Hou Chaozong. After liberation, the Jianhua Peking Opera Troupe was established in Tianjin, and in the winter of 1953, Shen Jinbo accompanied the condolence group headed by Marshal He Long to the war-torn North Korea to perform for the Chinese Volunteer Army. Later, he entered the Shanghai Peking Opera House, and in 1956, he co-produced the movie "Four Soldiers" with Mr. Zhou Xinfang, starring as Mao Peng. In 1964, at the Peking Opera Modern Opera National Observation and Performance Conference held in Beijing, he co-performed "Sending Fat" with Tong Zhiling and others, and co-performed "Battle Waves" with Ai Shiju and others. In the spring of 1965, he was transferred from the second regiment to the first regiment at that time, and played Shao Jianbo in "Wise Tiger Mountain", which was to be attacked as a model. In 1970, he starred as Shao Jianbo in the revolutionary Peking Opera model drama film "Wise Tiger Mountain". Later, he was transferred to the Shanghai Opera School as a professor of art until his retirement.

In 1955, the East China Peking Opera Experimental Theater Troupe merged with the Shanghai People's Peking Opera Troupe to establish the Shanghai Peking Opera House, with Zhou Xinfang as the president. After joining the Shanghai Peking Opera House, Shen Jinbo co-produced the movie "Four Soldiers" with Zhou Xinfang, starring Mao Peng. Soon, Shen Jinbo visited the Soviet Union with the State Performance Troupe, and he played for the dean Zhou Xinfang, and performed plays such as "Four Soldiers" and "Fifteen Guans", which were warmly welcomed, and won the honorary award issued by the Ministry of Culture of the Soviet Union. Since then, Shen Jinbo has also accompanied the Chinese art delegation to Europe and performed in France and other countries. In the play "ErjinGong", he played Yang Bo, Yan Huizhu played Li Yanfei, Lou Zhenkui played Xu Yanzhao, and the 3 people performed with beads and complemented each other, with different tones and pleasant singing voices, which greatly interested people in the western opera country, and praised him as "the best tenor in China".

Shen Jinbo also had an interlude in the foreign cultural exchange activities. At that time, a Frenchman deliberately asked him: "Do you know a contemporary theater master in our country?" Shen Jinbo immediately replied, "Molière." The Frenchman asked, "Do you think he still has the value of existence now?" The people who heard the voice all sweated for Shen Jinbo. At this time, Shen Jinbo still remained calm and replied quietly: "It depends on the French people." The French people think there is, otherwise it is the opposite. Shen Jinbo's decent answer won a round of applause from the audience.
