Hu Zhifeng took over the new Beijing Film Academy

At 9:00 a.m. on June 3, in accordance with the work arrangements of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Beijing Film Academy held a meeting of cadres of the whole academy and announced the decision of the municipal party committee on Comrade Hu Zhifeng's appointment as deputy secretary of the party committee and vice president of the Beijing Film Academy.

It is reported that after this transfer, President Hu Zhifeng will serve as deputy secretary of the party committee and vice president of the Beijing Film Academy, and fully preside over the daily administrative work of the school.

Founded in 1983, the Film and Television Society of Chinese Colleges and Universities was initiated by Mr. Xia Yan, a film predecessor, and Professor Shen Songsheng, then the dean of the Beijing Film Academy, was responsible for its preparation and served as the first president. After President Hu Zhifeng took office, it means that after many years, the president of the society is once again served by the leader of the Beijing Film Academy.

After taking office at the Beijing Film Academy, President Hu Zhifeng will build a higher academic exchange platform for the Society to better serve the national strategy, promote the development of the industry, promote film and television education, and serve all members.

Hu Zhifeng, born in February 1965, a native of Shandong, is a distinguished professor of the "Yangtze River Scholar" of the Ministry of Education, the dean, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Arts and Media of Beijing Normal University. He is currently the convener of the Drama and Film and Television Discipline Review Group of the State Council, and has been selected as the first batch of leading talents in philosophy and social sciences of the Organization Department, the "four batches" of talents of the Central Propaganda Department, the national-level candidates of the "Hundreds of Thousand Talents" of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the "60 Figures Who Influenced the Process of Radio and Television in China in the 60 Years of New China", and the first member of the Expert Committee on the Construction of National Public Cultural Services, and enjoys special government allowances from the State Council.

Professor Hu Zhifeng has presided over more than ten scientific research projects at the national, provincial and ministerial levels, and has published more than 20 academic monographs such as "Television Communication Art", "Film and Television Culture Treatise", "Outline of Television Aesthetics", etc., and published more than 300 academic papers; participated in the planning and main creation of more than 100 TV channels, columns and large-scale programs; and served as a judge of many national awards such as the "Five One Project" Award, the China News Award, the National Audio-visual Products Award, and the "Starlight Award" of China Television Literature and Art of the Central Propaganda Department. He has lectured and exchanged with the United States, Russia, France, Finland, the United Kingdom, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other countries and regions.
