It is a whole grass of the gentian family.
Harvested in autumn and winter, washed, freshly used or dried in the sun.
It grows on the wet rock walls or crevices of limestone slopes.

Annual herb, 10-30 cm tall. The whole plant is smooth and glabrous. The stem is erect, yellow-green, multi-branched, and weak branches. Basal leaves are opposite, with short stalks, ovate leaves, upper middle hollow leaves are through-stemmed leaves, the leaves are round, 7-20 mm in diameter, green above, gray-green below, with prominent reticulated veins.
The polyumbelis inflorescence is pseudo-bifurcated, multi-flowered, bract-leaf-like; calyx is bell-shaped, 5–6 mm long, calyx membranous, 5 small teeth, unequal in length; flowers are white or yellowish. Bell-shaped, 6–8 mm long, oblong spoon-shaped; stamens 5, born in the upper part of the corolla tube, alternate with lobes, anthers are not fully developed; ovary sessile, oblong, filamentous peduncle, stigma small, head-shaped. The capsule is hidden, broad and oblong, 4-5 mm long. The seeds are mostly flattened, yellowish-brown, with a reticulated surface. The flowering and fruiting period is August.
