The War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression was of great significance and influence to both the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. The Kuomintang and the Communist Party went to the country together, shouldered the combat tasks of the frontal battlefield and the battlefield behind the enemy's back, respectively, formed a strategic posture of jointly resisting the Japanese aggressors, and worked hard in the war against Japan.

According to statistics from the Ministry of National Defense in October 1947 and other quarters, during the eight-year War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression alone, the Kuomintang army participated in 22 major battles, 111 important battles, and more than 38,900 small battles, with a total combat attrition of 3227926 people, including 1328501.
