Kizaki's father, Kinzaki Ichibei, was the son of the bow master Asanuma Tadashi, and later became the adopted son of the Kizaki clan, serving as an auxiliary officer of the town, the lord of the Kohama Domain, Sakai Tadaoyoshi.
Kizaki's mother was the daughter of Hosokawa Taijun, a physician of the Kohama Clan, and was a virtuous woman who had read books.

On April 8, Jimatsu brought a letter from Takasugi, and Katsura kogoro, along with Shizusuke and his brother Naozo, set out from Izushi through Kyoto and Osaka, and arrived in Shimonoseki by boat on May 26.

After Marrying Kido Takayoshi, Jimatsu changed his surname to Kido and took the name Matsuko.
After marriage, the couple settled in Yamaguchi-cho, and because Kido was a prominent member of the Meiji government, they moved to Tokyo in July 1869.
As a senator of the new government, Kido Takayoshi often went on official business trips, and later as an adviser to the cabinet, he was busy with affairs, leaving early and returning late.

In 1886, Kido Matsuko died of a stomach problem at the age of 44, and she was finally able to find her husband.
The tomb of Kido Matsuko is located next to the tomb of Takayoshi Kido in Reiyama, Kyoto.
Their troubled couple was finally able to snuggle up to each other and never be separated.
