On November 15, Zhou Jianchun, director of the Provincial Land and Resources Department, accompanied by Hao Xiangming, vice mayor of Jinzhong City, Wang Shuangshou, director of the Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources, Han Jun, deputy secretary of the county party committee and county governor, and Zhao Lingzhong, member of the standing committee of the county party committee and executive deputy county governor, went deep into Yushe to investigate the coalbed methane "test 1 well" mining project.
The responsible persons of Shanxi Gemdale Coalbed Methane Exploration and Development Co., Ltd. and Sinopec Zhongyuan Petroleum Engineering Underground Special Operation Company respectively introduced the progress of the project to the leaders of the "Test 1 Well" drainage site and the "Demonstration 2 Well" fracturing site in Lanyu Township, Yushe County.
It is reported that the Yushe-Wuxiang block is a comprehensive exploration project of coal-bed methane and shale gas approved by the Shanxi Provincial Government in 2015, with a working area of 1219.72 square kilometers. The project takes "basing on coal-bed methane, exploring shale gas, and taking into account sandstone gas" as the overall idea, "submitting coalbed methane resource reserves, searching for favorable areas for shale gas, and improving the level of coal reserves" as the overall goal, and adopts comprehensive exploration methods based on two-dimensional earthquakes and drilling projects, supplemented by geological mapping, geophysical logging, comprehensive logging, well testing, various sample collection, laboratory testing and other means to carry out geological work. Among them, within 388.51 square kilometers of the favorable area, 181.2 billion cubic meters of coal-bed methane and shale gas resources have been obtained. On April 5, 2017, the ignition test was carried out, and the daily production of a single well can reach 1,000 cubic meters.
The trial mining of "Test 1 Well" marks that Yushe has entered a new era of coal-bed methane industry and taken the first step of the "Long March" towards the new goal of establishing a 10 billion gas field. It is believed that in the near future, the flower of coal-bed methane industry will bloom brilliantly in Yushe and become a new economic growth point in Yushe, bringing a new direction and hope to Yushe's "poverty alleviation".
