During the Second World War, which was the largest, the largest in human history, the highest number of casualties, and the most tragic, countless spies were naturally born, among which the red spy star Sorge was the most dazzling of the countless spies in World War II.
Sorge was German, and like Hitler during World War 1, he joined the German army and fought in World War 1. For his bravery in the war, he was also awarded the Iron Cross of the Second Class. Unlike the fanatical Hitler, however, Sorge became even more confused after he was wounded in the war.

In 1918, after studying for a postdoctoral degree in state law and society at kiel University, he joined the German Communist Party and arrived in Moscow in 1924, from which Helger began to serve the Soviet Union.
Perhaps a brilliant spy by nature, Sorge was sent to China by the Soviet Union in 1930 to spy on military intelligence before he was sent to Japan. As soon as Sorge entered China as a journalist, he quickly became acquainted with a large number of senior officials and dignitaries of the Nationalist government, and based on the extensive intelligence obtained from various sides, he finally came to the accurate conclusion that "Japan's next target is still China and not the Soviet Union."

After the September 18 Incident, Japan occupied the northeast region, and at the same time, it was no secret that the Japanese coveted the Soviet Far East, so in order to ensure peace in the Soviet Far East, Sorge was sent to Japan by the Soviet Union to build an intelligence network.
Sorge once again demonstrated his superior military intelligence skills, set up an intelligence organization in Japan, the Rasselm Group, and used his status as a German newspaper reporter and good relations with the German ambassador to Tokyo Ott, and received a lot of favorable help.
Supported by Sorge's continuous intelligence, the Soviet Union obtained information on the armed invasion of the Soviet Union by the Kwantung Army, and also used this information as a basis to win the Battle of Nomonkan.

In 1941, at the beginning of the Taiping War, Sorge once again obtained important information based on the information of the spies that "the Japanese High Command made a declaration of war this year unlike the Soviet Union", and after obtaining this key information, the Soviet Union decisively transferred 11 infantry divisions and 250,000 people from the Far East of the Eastern Front to the Soviet-German battlefield.
This force also became a key factor in the Soviet victory at the Battle of Moscow. The victory in the Battle of Moscow began to reverse the situation in which the Soviet Union was gradually defeated and retreated in the Soviet-German battlefield, so the Soviet Union was able to reverse the direction of the war, and Sorge was able to be called a great contribution.
Sorge's near-perfect intelligence espionage capabilities made the Soviets almost fully aware of Japan's strategic moves. And the most valuable thing is that Sorge can not only obtain a large amount of Japanese intelligence, but he can also verify the information collected and consider it comprehensively, so as to achieve perfection.

However, intelligence work is an extremely dangerous activity that penetrates deep into the belly of the enemy, and while Sorge continues to pass on intelligence to Moscow, Japanese spies on the mainland also begin to discover a frequent code. The Japanese began to encounter and realize that there was a spy network on the Japanese mainland.
Eventually, the Japanese targeted Surge, although Sorge used his German identity to deal with it with tact, leaving the Japanese with nothing. However, he did not escape the fate in the end. The Japanese Police Agency began to attack the Japanese Communist Party and eventually arrested Miyagi, a member of Rasem's group.
Miyagi was a member of the Lassem group that Sorge had personally developed, and after his arrest, because Miyagi failed to withstand severe torture and finally confessed all the information he knew, the Rasem team, including Sorge, was arrested.
Even after his arrest, although Sorge admitted to being a spy, in order not to cause trouble to the Soviet Union, he did not admit that he was a Soviet spy, but recruited himself as a German spy. But all this still did not save Sorge. In November 1944, at the age of 49, Sorge was secretly hanged by the Japanese in Tokyo.
It was not until 20 years after Sorge's death, in 1964, that the Soviet authorities revealed the secret that Sorge was a Soviet spy and posthumously recognized Sorge as the supreme hero of the Soviet Union. Sorge's brilliant espionage achievements during World War II were thus revealed.
