Reproduce the first thousand-man strike led by the Communist Party

On July 14, 1889, the Socialist Congress, convened by Marxists from all over the world, opened in Paris, and the delegates unanimously agreed to make May 1 a common holiday of the international proletariat. On May 1, 1920, The New Youth, Vol. 7, No. 6, was published, with Li Dazhao's article "History of the May Day Movement" as the publication speech, calling on Chinese workers to take May 1 of that year as the date of awakening. Under the guidance of Chen Duxiu, more than 5,000 workers held the World Labor Memorial Conference in Shanghai, at which workers put forward the requirements of the "Three-Eight System" and shouted "Long live labor". This is the first Labor Day in Chinese history. The film selects this set of materials released on the eve of Labor Day, which is a tribute to the ancestors who have been calling for the rights and interests of workers for a hundred years, and it is also a tribute to all workers at present.

At that time, China was in a state of semi-colonial and semi-feudal society, and the people were in dire straits. In such a deformed social environment, domestic workers are subjected to inhuman treatment. Not only do you have to work in a bad environment, but you are also often faced with overloaded tasks and do not get paid as agreed. With the outbreak and deepening of the "May Fourth Movement", the thinking of the working class has become increasingly awakened. The introduction of Marxism into China has provided the working class with an ideological weapon to understand and transform the world, and has provided powerful theoretical guidance for the working class to strive for class liberation. The workers' strike at the Anglo-American Tobacco Factory in Shanghai, presented in the film, was the first organized workers' strike led by the Communist Party of China. On July 20, 1921, the workers of the Anglo-American Tobacco Factory in Shanghai were abused by the management, and more than 8,000 workers participated in the League strike. At that time, the first national congress of the Communist Party of China was held in Shanghai, and after the party organization learned the news, it immediately sent party member Li Qihan to the factory for guidance. The strike finally triumphed after more than 20 days.

The poster released on the 30th is to restore the scene of the workers' strike, and the party members and workers' representatives played by the actors hold high the slogan of justice, dance the red flag of faith, and the crowd is excited and shouts of justice. In the previously released "new life" version of the trailer, Ou Hao's hoarse and loud "departure" is impressive, and this scene is also included in the material of this release.

Ou Hao plays Li Qihan, who was one of the first members of the Communist Party of China and a famous leader of the early workers' movement. He was killed by Kuomintang reactionaries in April 1927 at the age of 29. Until his death, he remained on the front lines of guiding the workers' movement. Wang Sen plays Li Zhong, the first workers' party member in the history of the Communist Party of China, who, while going deep among the masses to carry out the workers' movement, also actively writes for the workers' magazine "Labor Circles" and preaches Marxism to the workers in plain language. Lu Zhengzhang, played by Yu Haoming, worked as a clerk in the Shanghai Machinery Trade Union, the first trade union led by the Communist Party. The establishment of the Shanghai Machinery Trade Union has aroused great repercussions in all sectors of society, especially among workers, and it has made the Shanghai workers' movement one of the new. Zhang Xiaochen plays Yang Dixian, the founder of the Shanghai Printing Trade Union, one of the earliest trade union organizations in Shanghai, and pointed out in his speech that everyone's goal is to achieve the era of "no class, no service, no service".

Huang Jianxin Zheng Dasheng did not control the big scene of the workers' movement in any big detail

With the loud slogans of "Labor Sacred" and "Long Live the Working Class", the special edition unveils the hardships behind the shooting of the workers' movement, which involved thousands of actors. Director Huang Jianxin, 66 years old, is full of vitality on the scene, running between the monitor and the scene, and he can't see his tired look at all. With the regulation of one or two thousand people's group performances and the complicated props, Huang Dao has always maintained high standards and strict requirements, personally controlling every detail. Behind the scenes, actor Yu Haoming, Huang Dao has very accurate and high requirements for the compactness of each slogan of the assembly workers, and will "pay attention to the state of each actor in the camera, even if it is a mass actor, to reach his state in the general environment." Ye Xiaowei, another actor who plays a striking worker, shared: "Huang Dao can see with one look whether an inconspicuous pen holder by the background window is correctly arranged. Director Huang is responsible for controlling the whole scene, and co-director Zheng Dasheng meticulously and strictly cuts the performances of the live actors. The mood of the group performances shouting slogans was not high enough, and Zheng Dao led the group performances to shout with their exhaustion; some group performers did not swing their fists strong enough, and he personally demonstrated the boxing movements. He would patiently adjust the voice and eyes of each extra, and eventually the emotions of everyone on the scene were driven by him.

Under the leadership of two professional and dedicated directors, every actor did not dare to slack off. No one cares how many personal shots and a few lines there are in such a large scene group scene, all of them stand in the perspective of considering the whole work, and come up with their fullest mental state and the most rigorous work attitude. In order to get closer to the state in which the strike lasted for more than twenty days, the actors reshooted over and over again, shouting slogans until the green tendons burst out and their voices were exhausted, but still took the initiative to ask for "one more guarantee". When talking about the feelings of participating in the film, Liu Chang said that "'1921' makes us love our country more", and actor Wang Sen emotionally said that the ancestors presented in the movie "1921" are pioneers a hundred years ago, "ignoring their own safety and keeping their beliefs".
