Hu Limin, a native of Sun Village, was born in August 1959 in Wen'an County, Hebei Province. In 2005, he was named one of the first 56 yuan calligraphy masters in China's first batch of national investment collection works.
Professor Hu Limin specializes in calligraphy and grass, and teaches the famous calligraphers Gao Hongyuan and Xu Yu.
He has worked for a long time in the organs of the China Book Association, and has served as the chief editor of the China Calligraphy Newsletter, a member of the Calligraphy Committee of the China Book Association, the deputy secretary-general of the Calligraphy Professional Committee, a professor and studio tutor of the Training Center of the China Book Association, a specially appointed calligraphy professor and studio tutor of Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts and Renmin University.
