In 2014, Wang Long gave up his job as a chef with a monthly salary of nearly 10,000 yuan and returned to his hometown to start a business.
"The 'bond' with the geese is still because of the chef's work." Wang Long began his career as a chef in 1995 and has made some achievements in the chef industry. Wang Long told reporters that after wandering outside for a long time, he was very homesick and wanted to teach his children personally, so he did not feel sorry for giving up a job with a monthly salary of nearly 10,000 yuan.
When Wang Long was a chef in the field, he became friends with a geese supplier and learned the breeding technique from the supplier, because the geese have high nutritional value and a certain market value, so he decided to lead the geese back to his hometown to breed, and took out all his savings of nearly 500,000 yuan for geese breeding.
Nowadays, Wang Long raises thousands of geese, and he will run between the county town and the breeding farm every day, sending goose eggs and goose meat, and many times the supply of goose series products is in short supply.
"Now that it's a success, my hard work hasn't been in vain." A goose weighs more than 5 pounds when it comes out of the barn, and each kilogram is sold at a price of 30 yuan, and the price of an African goose is more than 150 yuan, and the profit is quite considerable, and Wang Long's products are also sold to Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan and so on.
At the end of June 2014, Wang Long established the Shehong County Chuanyu Aquaculture Professional Cooperative, which has long employed 8 local villagers to increase their income. Wang Long said that now the breeding of geese can bring themselves nearly 200,000 yuan of income every year, and the road of breeding geese is clear, so they want to take the villagers to get rich together. He encouraged poor households and the disabled in the village to participate in the breeding of geese, and he would give away seedlings for free and teach the techniques of breeding geese, and carry out guaranteed price recovery. At the same time, he also plans to develop eco-tourism, farmhouses and other projects to get rich with the villagers.
