Zang Qing, deputy director of the Press and Publicity Department of the Policy Research Office of the Ministry of Transport, said that the original mission of road passenger transport innovation and development is to better serve the people's travel, and at present, it is facing both valuable opportunities and difficult challenges, and it is necessary to provide the people with safer, more convenient, efficient, green and economical road passenger transport services by making full use of the latest scientific and technological achievements and adhering to the road of sustainable development.
"In recent years, the road passenger traffic in Jiangsu Province has decreased year by year, and the operational pressure of the traditional road passenger transport industry has further increased." Yin Guoxiang, deputy director of the Transportation Administration Bureau of the Department of Transportation of Jiangsu Province, introduced that in order to help the road passenger transport industry out of the predicament, the transportation department of Jiangsu Province has issued a series of policies to fully support road passenger transport enterprises to optimize transport organizations and innovate service methods to promote the transformation and development of the industry by deepening the simplification of administration and decentralization, expanding the autonomy of enterprise operations, and strengthening financial support.

At the seminar, Xie Xiaoling, deputy director of the Highway and Comprehensive Transportation Development Research Center of the Highway Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, interpreted the two policy points of the "Regulations on the Management of Road Passenger Transport and Passenger Terminals" and the "Road Transport Regulations (Draft for Comment)".
She introduced that from the current point of view, the development of road passenger transport has shown the characteristics from "emphasizing isolated competition" to "passenger intermodal transport", from "covering the dry branch network" to "expanding the branch of the dry guarantee", from "popularization and homogenization" to "customized intelligence", from "single function" to "one station multi-functional and other characteristics, and related enterprises should continue to accelerate the pace of transformation and development.
A number of representatives of passenger transport enterprises shared their experience in actively innovating to promote service upgrading.
Liu Youhua, general manager of Jiangsu Lianyungang Automobile Transport Co., Ltd., introduced that the company adheres to the work idea of "basing on passenger transportation, transformation and development", and through the integration of internal and external resources and the extension of the industrial chain, it has now formed a comprehensive business pattern integrating road passenger transportation, urban logistics distribution, dangerous chemical transportation, intercity bus, vehicle maintenance and other businesses.
Guo Xiangjun, vice chairman of Jincheng Automobile Transport Co., Ltd. of Shanxi Automobile Transport Group, shared the experience of how enterprises can reform and reorganize urban passenger transport enterprises and gradually develop to scale, intensification and specialization by realizing the overall planning of "one game".
