No one is born a hero, and there are always people who use the ordinary to create greatness. The advanced deeds of an ordinary doctor can better reflect the hard work and dedication in their work!

Her name is Zhang Zhiping, an excellent young attending physician in the Department of Nephrology, Jilin University Sino-Japanese Friendship Hospital, Changchun City, Jilin Province, graduated from the Seven-Year Clinical Program of Bethune Medical College of Jilin University in 2011, and began to work in the Sino-Japanese Friendship Hospital of Jilin University in the same year. During her work, she was patient and meticulous to patients, conscientious and responsible, and has been well received by patients. As a member of the Communist Party, she never forgot her mission, and after the outbreak of the new crown epidemic, she repeatedly applied to the leaders of the hospital to participate in the frontline of the fight against the epidemic.

In July 2020, she was sent to the hospital's fever clinic. In the middle of summer, the weather is extremely hot and unbearable, and you have to wear heavy protective clothing every day, wear protective masks and goggles, and often sweat heavily. In order to reduce the number of times she put on and take off protective equipment, she did not eat, drink, or go to the toilet for a long time, working from four o'clock in the afternoon to eight o'clock in the morning the next day. After work, she took off her protective clothing, and the clothes inside were all soaked, and she could wring out the water with a twist, but she never cried bitterly tired. She smiled and said, "This is what a party member should do!"

At that time, when the epidemic situation in Dalian was re-emerging, the fever patients who came to the hospital were very nervous and worried because of the fear of the epidemic. Dr. Zhang Zhiping gave them meticulous ideological work, telling patients that the epidemic situation is not as terrible as imagined, even if it is new crown pneumonia, as long as there is a good attitude, pay attention to protection and isolation, see the doctor as soon as possible, and cooperate with the doctor's treatment, it will generally be cured! One night, she received 38 patients, setting a record for the highest number of night shifts for fever clinics. In view of her hard work, she was awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award for Anti-epidemic Volunteer Service on the 3rd Chinese Doctors' Day.

In his daily work, Dr. Zhang Zhiping also treats patients as his own relatives. For patients with difficulties in remote and mountainous areas in rural areas, she boiled eggs for them to supplement their bodies, and patients from other places could not find a department, so she registered them and took them to the relevant departments for medical treatment. One dialysis patient had limited mobility, so she used her time off work to send him home after the patient's dialysis was over.

Jilin University China-Japan Friendship Hospital is a teaching hospital. Dr. Zhang Zhiping has excellent English performance, has undertaken internship teaching work for international students for many times, and has won the Excellence Award of the 8th Bilingual Teaching Competition of China-Japan Friendship Hospital and the third prize of the 2nd Teaching Multimedia Competition. She has also studied hard in scientific research, published 3 sci articles, and undertaken and participated in 5 national and provincial projects, and is currently a member of the Nephrology Specialist Committee of the 12th Council of Changchun Medical Association. Because of her solid foundation and good skills, she also assumes the role of a graduate teacher, guides the work of intern doctors, and requires students to treat patients as if they were their own relatives.

In the head-on confrontation with the epidemic, the frontline medical staff of the fever clinic are the vanguard of the charge. They are on the front lines, doing their best to save lives and injuries. Dr. Zhang Zhiping contributes his professional strength to protecting the health of the people in Chuncheng.

After this epidemic, Zhang Zhiping hopes that his family and everyone are healthy and safe, and at the same time hopes that the public and the media will not deify medical personnel. Every medical staff is an ordinary person, there are moments of flash, there are also times of vulnerability, may everyone praise the greatness of medical staff at the same time, but also accept the ordinariness of medical staff. ▲(Zhao Zhijun)
