He was a roc golden-winged eagle, in the middle of the night appeared in its true form, flew into the air, his wings were particularly powerful, wanted to fan this sea water up to flood Xiqi City, the result did not expect that Jiang Ziya had already divinated out, so he used the water of the North Sea to cover the top of Xiqi City, and then Yuan Shi Tianzun used the Three Light Divine Water to order the four revealing gods to buckle it on the top of the water of the North Sea and protect Xiqi City.

After the Wing Immortal came, he found that Xiqi Castle had been protected by the North Sea Water, and he thought: I use my wings to fan the water of the four seas, let alone the water of the sea? So I fanned it seven or eight times with my wings. I didn't expect that there was the Three Lights Divine Water of the YuanShi Tianzun above Xiqi City, and the Wing Immortal fanned for a long time, the higher the fan water, and finally fanned all night, exhausted, no effect at all.

How did this story come about? In fact, this story comes from Buddhist scriptures.

Judging from the text, when the "Fengshen Yanyi" was written here, I guess he was also a little annoyed, why? Because this paragraph is too straightforward to write. Let's say that Jiang Ziya took the money and calculated, even if the Feather Wing Immortal wanted to sneak attack Xiqi, and then Yuan Shi Tianzun didn't know where to get some "Three Light Divine Water", and the four "Revelation Gods" for no reason, the front did not appear, and the back did not seem to mention it again.

So the question is: since we can all figure out that the Wing Immortals came to rob the camp, how could the plague god Lü Yue poison that year, and the fire god Luo Xuan burning the city behind him, not be counted? Later, when the fire god Luo Xuan burned Xiqi City, at this time, he should use the water of the North Sea and the "Three Lights Divine Water", why was Jiang Ziya useless?

So these stories are meant to make this winged fairy appear. The prototype of the winged immortal, which is clearly stated in the book, is the Dapeng Golden Wing Eagle. Dapeng golden-winged eagle is a kind of sacred bird in the Buddhist scriptures, which is our Chinese saying, because Chinese think that it is the largest of the birds, so it is called the golden-winged eagle. In fact, in the Buddhist scriptures it is called the golden-winged bird.

Folk call it "Dapeng Golden-winged Eagle" or "Dapeng Golden-winged Bird", which confuses the concept of "Dapeng" with the concept of "Golden-winged Bird". Dapeng is Dapeng, and Dapeng is the kind of bird mentioned in the ancient Chinese book "Zhuangzi":

There is a fish in the north, its name is Kun, the size of the Kun, do not know thousands of miles, incarnated as Peng, Peng is big, do not know thousands of miles.

Peng, this is China's big bird. But when translating the Buddhist scriptures, everyone felt that the golden-winged bird was also a big bird, and our roc was also a big bird, and if we got it, we simply called the roc golden-winged bird, which is actually a confusing statement.

So in "Journey to the West", it is said that the Dapeng bird has ninety thousand wings and two wings of 180,000 miles, and Sun Wukong is only 18,000 miles in a rib fight, so it flies faster than Sun Wukong, and this is the attribute of Dapeng used, because "Zhuangzi" said, "Rise straight up to ninety thousand miles", this is Dapeng.

It is said in the "Fengshen Yanyi" that it can fan the seawater, which is the attribute of the goldfinch, and these two attributes are completely different.

According to the Buddhist scriptures, the golden-winged bird lives on a large tree by the sea, and it feeds on dragons (which I think is understandable, because eagles also eat snakes). Therefore, it is estimated that the myth of India is based on the story of the eagle eating the snake and the golden-winged bird eating the dragon.

The dragon is in the sea, and the goldfinch wants to eat the dragon, what to do? He flew down from the branches of the big tree and used his wings to fan the sea. The original text of the Buddhist scriptures is "fight", that is, to hit the water of the sea. In one dozen, the sea separated for hundreds of miles, revealing the Dragon King. The golden-winged bird flew down and grabbed the dragon and ate it.

Moreover, according to the Buddhist scriptures, the golden-winged bird has egg birth, fetal birth, wet birth, and metamorphosis. The oviparous goldfinch is relatively low-level, it can only eat oviparous dragons, if it is a fetal dragon it can not eat.

So the story used in "The Evolution of the Fengshen Gods" is this: the golden-winged bird splits the large seawater and then goes to catch the dragon to eat. But this story is really not well written, and many details are not clearly explained. For example, Yu Yixian said, "You can take some wine to drink from you and me, and in the middle of the night, I will turn the whole City of Xiqi into the Bohai Sea." ”

But how did it turn into the Bohai Sea? Could it be that the sea water was transported from somewhere else? It seems that the goldfinch does not have this function, he just fans open the seawater, whether it will transport the seawater, we do not know.

Jiang Ziya brought the North Sea water to protect Xiqi, which was also a very strange thing. Since he knew that the winged immortals could fan dry the seawater, why did they have to move the North Sea water? Isn't this purely to let the Wing Immortal perform this skill?

There is also the "Four Revelation Gods" of Yuan Shi Tianzun, which is also a very funny concept. Because "revealing" is a word in the Buddhist scriptures, but it means "to go," to go to the other shore. So there is a passage at the end of the Heart Sutra: "Reveal the truth, reveal the truth, reveal the truth, and the monks reveal the truth." "It is a sanskrit transliteration, it is not a god's name at all, the result is not how, after it was transmitted to China, the common people looked at it, this revelation may be a god, and then made up a revelation god." And this is a Buddhist concept, Yuan Shi Tianzun is full of Taoist style, so that the summoning of the truth god is indeed a bit too folkloric.

In addition, Zhang Shan Li Jinfa Xiqi has reached the final stage of the Thirty-six Road West Qi. These two actually have no ability, they are here to send heads. Because like Deng Jiugong Fa Xiqi, Su Hu Fa XiQi, Zhang Shan Li Jin Fa Xi Qi, this is called the government to set up a stage, the gods and immortals singing. That is to say, like Deng Jiugong, Zhang Shan, and Su Hu, they are not important, and their appearance is to attract Yin Hong, Yin Jiao, Ma Yuan, Yu Yixian and others to perform. Only when the government troops came out could they have a chance to attack Xiqi. Otherwise, these people are all people outside the system, and they are alone, how can they challenge Xiqi? Therefore, the author arranged so many generals along the way, usually the general soldiers of a certain level came to attack Xiqi, in fact, in order to build a stage and give these immortals who appeared on the scene some opportunities to perform.
