In 2017, it is the time when all the work of poverty alleviation is in full swing, in order to adapt to the environment as soon as possible and understand the health poverty alleviation work of Langao, Deng Lei went to the countryside to conduct on-site research and visits to medical institutions in counties, towns and villages, in just two months, ran through all medical institutions in the county; when she returned to the countryside at night, she collected documents related to poverty alleviation and health poverty alleviation and carefully studied them, combined with the visit to the countryside, actively provided advice and suggestions for health poverty alleviation work, wrote various health poverty alleviation research articles, and carefully planned a large number of health poverty alleviation actions.
Three months after arriving in Langao, she worked as a county-level health poverty alleviation policy preacher to analyze the health poverty alleviation policy in detail for the county's cadres. In the following three years, she traveled all over the Langao Gully, like a hospital review expert to a Langao health poverty alleviation policy expert, becoming the "Langao Pass" in the mouth of her colleagues.
Although it is only 1 and a half hours away from Langao to Ankang, she has not returned home for countless weekends. In the summer of 2018, she took her son to Langao and prepared to play with the child for two days, but when a phone call came, she gave the child to a friend and turned around and rushed back to the unit. When Deng Lei finished his work and rushed to the gate of the paradise, the sky was already dark, the child saw his mother, stared at his mother, held his breath, did not move, let the tears come out of his eyes, "You are still not my mother, I have come to Langao, you are still so busy?" When exactly will you be able to accompany me? In the face of the child's questioning, she had a sour nose, a moment of gagging, and took the child into her arms.

On March 21, 2019, the spring rain was pouring and the road was muddy, and Deng Lei came to the home of Deng Guotian, a poor household with a serious illness. "Director Deng, thanks to you, I spent more than 50,000 yuan on lobectomy, and after the support of the 'Top Beam and Pillar Project', I only spent thousands of dollars!" Deng Guotian, 51, said.
Deng Guotian's top pillar project is a health poverty alleviation public welfare insurance project introduced by Langao County in 2018, which is aimed at patients aged 18-60 who are poor households with established archives, and in the total cost of hospitalization, the government first carries out four-fold guarantee, and then reimburses the remaining "out-of-pocket expenses".
It is understood that Langao is the only health poverty alleviation public welfare insurance project county in Ankang City, Deng Lei served as the liaison person in charge of the project, from project calculation, program formulation, publicity and mobilization, training and communication, household return visits, she personally experienced and worked overtime to determine the plan. With the efforts of Deng Lei and colleagues, less than half a year after the project was launched, Langao became the county with the largest number of rescuers, the largest amount and the highest efficiency in the province, and provided more than 3 million yuan of relief funds for the poor people in Langao for three years. Subsequently, Deng Lei searched for resources from many sources to establish a medical assistance project for accidental injuries and serious illnesses in children for Langao.

Deng Lei is a municipal assessor of hospital grade review and has rich experience. In order to effectively do a good job in the creation work, Deng Lei has repeatedly invited experts and municipal assessors from Ankang Central Hospital to the county hospital for training, bringing a new hospital management concept, leading the supervision and improvement, and improving the quality improvement and emergency response capabilities of the hospital.
In those years, Deng Lei was stationed in the hospital many times, and the precautions for each department were improved and improved. Through hard work, Langao County Hospital was officially established as a second-class general hospital, and Langao County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital successfully passed the second-class review.

When she learned that the number of disabled people in Langao was relatively large, the mobility was inconvenient, it was difficult to go to the hospital to complete the disability rating work on their own, and it was impossible to enjoy the corresponding welfare assistance, Deng Lei actively contacted more than 50 disabled experts of Ankang Central Hospital for three consecutive years to carry out disability rating work in Langao town by town, village by village, and a total of more than 4,000 disabled people in Langao were evaluated on the spot, and the disability assessment fee was waived.
In the past three years, Deng Lei has actively contacted Ankang Central Hospital to carry out emergency medical rescue field training activities in Langao to help alleviate health and alleviate poverty and vigorously improve the construction level of medical rescue teams in the county.
