Zhou Tai (周泰), courtesy name Youping, was a native of Xiacai (present-day Fengtai, Anhui) in Jiujiang, and a general of Sun Wu during the Three Kingdoms period.

In the second year of Xingping (195), Yuan Shu sent Sun Ce's uncle Wu Jing to attack Hengjiang, Sun Ce took this opportunity to ask Yuan Shu to help Wu Jing, Yuan Shu believed that Liu Shu occupied Qu'a, Wang Lang was in Huiji, and Sun Ce might not be able to succeed, so he allocated all of Sun Jian's old troops to Sun Ce and let Sun Ce send troops, Zhou Tai and Jiang Qin of the same county joined Sun Ce's army at this time, and followed Sun Ce around the river to engage Liu Sui, breaking every direction and making several battle achievements.

In the first year of Jian'an (196), Zhou Tai and Sun Ce successively defeated Yan Baihu, Wang Lang and others, and Sun Ce took it upon himself to understand Ji Taishou, appointed Zhou Tai as a sima of other departments, and granted him an army. Shi Sun Ce's younger brother Sun Quan liked Zhou Tai very much, so he asked Sun Ce to let Zhou Tai follow him, so Zhou Tai accompanied Sun Quan around.

Zhou Tai (周泰), courtesy name Youping, was a native of Xiacai (present-day Fengtai, Anhui) in Jiujiang, and a general of Sun Wu during the Three Kingdoms period. When Sun Ce pacified Jiangdong, he joined Sun Ce's army with Jiang Qin of the same county, and accompanied Sun Ce to the left and right, from Liu Xuan, Yan Baihu, Wang Lang and others, and had several military achievements. Later, Sun Quan loved him as a person and asked Sun Ce to let Zhou Tai follow him. Zhou Tai repeatedly protected Sun Quan's safety in the midst of war, and suffered dozens of injuries on his body, just like carving on his skin. Officials to Hanzhong Taishou, Fenwei general, Fengling Yang Marquis. Died in the middle of Huang Wu. His son Zhou Shao, who also had several military achievements, died in the second year of Huanglong. Zhou Shao's younger brother Zhou Cheng inherited military power and titles. Chen Shou listed Zhou Tai as the "Tiger Minister of the River Table". Died in the middle age of Huang Wu, Zi Zhou Shao led the army as a cavalry lieutenant, fought against Cao Ren and Cao Xiu, and took the position of general, huang long died in the second year (230). His younger brother Zhou Chengbing succeeded to the title.

In the second year of Jian'an (197), Yuan Shu co-opted Danyang, Xuancheng, Jing, Lingyang, Shi'an, Yi, She, and other counties, Zu Lang, the leader of the mountain thieves, and rebelled in the local area, when Sun Ce was a mountain thief in six counties, and Zhou Tai and Sun Quan lived in Xuancheng, there were less than a thousand people, the morale was low, and there were no protective fortifications, thousands of mountain thieves flocked to the front, Sun Quan had just got on the horse, the mountain thieves had already killed him, the weapons had been cut to the saddle, and it was difficult for the soldiers to meet the enemy with peace of mind, only Zhou Tai rose up, fought fiercely, and used his body to protect Sun Quan. The others were influenced by Zhou Tai to fight generously with Zhou Tai and struggled to kill the mountain thief, and Zhou Tai was wounded twelve times and recovered for a long time. Sun Ce was very appreciative of him and appointed Zhou Tai as the head of Chungu.

In the fourth year of Jian'an (199), after Yuan Shu's death, his general Liu Xun occupied Wancheng and defeated Yang Hong and Zhang Xun, who wanted to defect to Sun Ce, and when Sun Cexi was begging Huang Zu, Zhou Tai's entourage attacked Wancheng, and later destroyed Huang Zu in Jiangxia. He followed Sun Ce to Yuzhang and was appointed as the chief of Yichun.

In the eighth year of Jian'an (203), he accompanied Sun Quan to the west to fight Huang Zu and made a military achievement, but failed to break through the city, and there were mountain thieves who rebelled, so they had to retreat.

In the thirteenth year of Jian'an (208), Zhou Tai made a contribution to the battle against Huang Zu. Later, together with Zhou Yu and Cheng Pu, he resisted Cao Cao's army at Chibi and attacked Cao Ren at Nan Commandery. Cao Cao sent out his whiskers, and Zhou Taiyong fought to repel Cao Cao. So he stayed with the Governor and paid homage to General Pingyu. Shi Zhuran, Xu Sheng, and others were Zhou Tai's subordinates, and they were not convinced. Sun Quan specially met the generals, drank wine to Zhou Tai's seat, ordered Zhou Tai to undress, Sun Quan pointed to his own scars, asked the cause of the injury, Zhou Tai replied one by one; Sun Quan sent emissaries to grant Zhou Tai royal cover, so the generals were convinced.

In the twelfth year of Jian'an (207), Sun Quan again enlisted Huang Zu, and Zhou Tai's retinue requisitioned, counting the battle merits, and capturing his people and returning.

In the thirteenth year of Jian'an (208), Huang Zu was again recruited, and Huang Zu was killed by Feng Ze. In the same year, Cao Cao marched south to pacify Jiangdong in one fell swoop, Sun Quan and Liu Bei joined forces to resist Cao Cao, and at the same time sent Zhou Yu and Cheng Pu to fight Cao Cao's army as the governor of the left and right, and Zhou Tai followed Zhou Yu, Cheng Pu and Cao Cao in the Battle of Chibi to repel them.

In the fourteenth year of Jian'an (209), he followed Zhou Yu into Nan Commandery, and Cao Ren was defeated. After Jingzhou was pacified, Zhou Tai led an army to Tun Yu Cen.

In the eighteenth year of Jian'an (213), Cao Cao led an army to attack Wusu and led his army to resist.

In the twenty-second year of Jian'an (217), Cao Cao attacked Fusu again, and Zhou Tai repeatedly led his army to resist. After Cao Cao withdrew, Sun Quan worshipped Zhou Tai as the general of Pingyu and left the governor Of Shu, while Zhu Ran, Xu Sheng, and other generals all listened to Zhou Tai's dispatches, so they were not convinced, sun Quan heard about this and personally went to Shu Wu to feast on the generals. Sun Quan personally brought wine to Zhou Tai, and then asked Zhou Tai to undo his clothes, Sun Quan pointed to a wound on Zhou Tai's body, asked Zhou Tai how this wound came from, Zhou Tai clearly said which battle this wound was injured in, Sun Quan pulled Zhou Tai's arm, cried, and said: "You Ping, you fight for our brother on the battlefield like a bear and a tiger, never pity your body, dozens of injuries, the skin is like being carved, how can I not treat you as my dear flesh and blood, and entrust you with the weight of soldiers and horses?" You are a hero of Eastern Wu, and I should share the glory and humiliation with you. The next day, Sun Quan gave Zhou Taiqingluo an umbrella cover, so Xu Sheng and others obeyed Zhou Tai.

In the twenty-fourth year of Jian'an (219), Sun Quan attacked and killed Guan Yu and wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to cut down Shu, so he made Zhou Tai the Taishou of Hanzhong and the general of Fenwei, and the Marquis of Lingyang.

During the reign of Huang Wu (222-229), Zhou Tai fell ill and died.

Zhou Tai's son Zhou Shao (周邵) led the army as a knight lieutenant, fought against Cao Ren and Cao Xiu, and took the position of general, huang long died in the second year (230). Zhou Shao's younger brother Zhou Chengbing succeeded to the title.
