The mysterious wilderness depicted by "Children of Nature"
Nature writer and children's literature writer Gezhilqimug Kurozuru is known as the "Son of Nature" for his ideas of advocating and revering nature conveyed by his works. Accompanied by two milky white Mongolian shepherds, he spent his childhood at the junction of the steppe and the countryside. He has published more than 80 works such as "Black Flame", "Ghost Dog", "Reindeer Country", "Black Dog Harano Hai", "Children of wolf valley", "Wolf" and so on. He has won the "Five One Project" Award of the Central Propaganda Department, the National Outstanding Children's Literature Award, the Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award, the "Bianchi International Literature Award" Novel Award, the Mao Dun Literary Newcomer Award and other awards, and many works have been translated into more than ten languages and exported abroad.
Kurozuru's writings are cold and deep, full of wildness but also containing compassion. Part of his works depicts the natural scenery of the wilderness of northern China and the mysterious stories of animals from an objective, calm and affectionate perspective, and a larger part praises the close friendship between people and animals on the grasslands established with true feelings and time, especially the stories of Barajyi and the little wolf, Liu Xia and the reindeer Ruda, Manglai and Tek, whose mutual trust and never-leaving feelings affect the hearts of countless readers, inspire readers to re-examine the relationship between people and people, people and animals, and people and nature, and emotionally nourish many readers.
The series is Kurozuru's first comic book version of animal-themed works, and it is also his new attempt at natural literature.
"Black Crane Animal Comics" consists of 6 volumes, namely "Reindeer Country", "Ghost Dog", "Wolf", "Child of Wolf Valley", "Swan Ranch", and "Orphans of a Beautiful World". It is an adaptation of several of Kurozuru's best-selling works that best embody the sincere feelings of humans and animals. Opening this set of animal cartoons seems to open a door to the wilderness, readers can meet the horses galloping on the vast grasslands, the wolves that break into the sheepfold in the dark night, the sheepdogs who swear to guard the pasture to the death, the swans that nest under the bridge, the reindeer that hear the sound in the forest, the bears and foxes who flee for their lives in the fire... And witness the direct legend of these animals and humans.
Present real forests and grasslands with comics
Black Crane's novel is full of picture, reading his words is like seeing the delicate and moving pictures he describes: a dog cub whose coat is shiny like silver soaked in honey; the front paws of the wolf bathed in the moonlight rest on the old man's chest; the reindeer who hears the sound of the salt bag shaking and runs briskly, and half a spider web hanging from the antlers... Through the books, the reader's heart has flown to the endless grassland and felt the breeze from the valley.
But black crane found a problem. No matter how meticulous and aptly he describes it in his works, the boundless Hulunbuir Grassland and the vast primeval forest of Daxing'anling, as well as the way of life of the people who live in it, are still distant and mysterious to the reader (mostly children). For children, grasslands and forests are distant existences. People who have not really lived in the northern wilderness have a hard time imagining everything that happens in the grasslands and forests through words alone. Just as Kurozuru was seeking a possibility to give his work a new life, he met the animal comic planning of Guangxi Normal University Press, Mystic Island, and "Black Crane Animal Comics" came into being.
The series of books is jointly created by a number of experienced young painters, each of which is a beautiful blockbuster, and strives to accurately restore the wilderness of northern China.
Li Ying, a freelance illustrator and the chief writer of "Black Crane Animal Comics", said at the launch of the new book that Black Crane teachers have high requirements for comics, and at the beginning she was very anxious. The first painting she painted was of a little girl looking at the fire in a daze, and when she seriously tried to depict the light of the fire, she suddenly found a certain feeling of communication with the little girl's heart. The second painting depicts a dog dying under a tree, and as she draws, she sheds tears on the manuscript paper. Li Ying said that on the one hand, the publishing house had complete trust in her and did not put special pressure, on the other hand, Teacher Kurozuru was also particularly encouraging, which eventually prompted her to successfully complete the drawing of the comic.
The author Kurozuru also said at the press conference that the "Black Crane Animal Comic" is a particularly huge project. "My text book is given to the editorial team, and then it is made into various sub-shots, and then the sub-shots are given to the painter, and the painter organizes the picture according to it, and all the details, including the saddle and stirrup, are a horse cage and a horse chew, and we all have to shoot very seriously, because this life is particularly distant for the painter." So the effort of painting me as a calligrapher is more. ”
Rethink the relationship between man and nature, man and animal
With the renewal of science and technology and the development of society, human beings have gradually lost themselves in the illusion of becoming the master of the world, forgetting the smallness of human beings in front of nature, and ignoring that they are also part of nature. The extinction of species, the destruction of the natural environment and the imbalance of ecology are already warnings of nature. It's time to rethink the relationship between man and nature, man and animal.
"Black Crane Animal Comics" conveys the true feelings of mutual respect, mutual support and mutual dependence between people and animals on the grassland, and the equal and harmonious state between man and nature. This set of books will take children into the mysterious forest and grassland, read the complex and changeable relationship between humans and animals, witness the harmonious coexistence of man and nature, and the sharing of the world by all living beings.
Wang Yimei, a children's literature writer, parent-child reading promoter and planner of "Black Crane Animal Comics", said at the new book sharing meeting that excellent children's literature works and excellent natural works are obvious to the growth of children and the imprint of life. She believes that reading is like candy, sweet at first, but it is also like rice, which is a necessity for a child to grow up and help him grow tall and strong. "Black Crane's set of natural literature books is such a spiritual food for the growth of children." Wang Yimei said.
