The US media recently revealed that the US Department of Justice intends to reach a settlement with the illegal immigrant families who were forced to live apart during Trump's tenure, and plans to provide $450,000 in compensation to each affected immigrant.
Biden denied the incident on the 3rd, and also suspected of denouncing the relevant reports as "garbage".

According to CNN, the Justice Department also subsequently told lawyers representing immigrant families that the high amount of compensation exposed by the media was unlikely to be achieved. But Biden's speech caused an uproar in outside public opinion.
White House press secretary Pierre clarified on the 4th that Biden reacted to the amount of 450,000 at that time, not to rebuke the relevant reports as garbage. Pierre added that Biden is fully acceptable for the Justice Department to compensate immigrants to make up for the harm caused by the previous administration, but not at $450,000 per person.
According to sources, the settlement negotiations have not yet been concluded, and the amount of compensation for different people should be agreed on the basis of actual conditions.
During his tenure, former U.S. President Donald Trump implemented a "zero tolerance" policy for illegal immigration, arresting a large number of undocumented families at the U.S.-Mexico border, resulting in thousands of children being separated from their parents.
