Sloth-toothed dragon

Age: Late Triassic to Early Jurassic

Location: Europe (England) and Southern Africa

Size: Length 1.2 meters

Diet: Eat plants

" Slotted " was similar in size to " Ceratosaurus " , but had a shorter neck and more teeth. Its fossil was found in 1843 in south-west England near Bristol and was first named. These bones are preserved in Triassic sediments that were deposited in ravines and caves by the shale formed by the Previous Carboniferous Period. In the desert climates that prevailed in Europe in the late Triassic Period, during the life of slothosaurs, these shales tended to form dry plateau landforms. After piecing together this climatic and rock evidence, it is thought that Trodontosaurus lived in dry highland areas, probably covered by later Triassic sediments just after dying within or near shale cave entrances, or by the rush of the rainy season into ravines and caves.

Slothosaurus had many of the basic characteristics of sauropods and was sometimes grouped into a separate family with other taxa.

Slothosaurus lived in the early Jurassic period. It is an elongated animal with a small head, long neck and long tail.

The average length of the grooved tooth is 1.2 meters, the height is about 30 cm, and the weight is 30 kg. They have a small head , large pointed thumb claws , slender hind limbs , a long neck , shorter forelimbs than hindlimbs , and a long tail. They are bipedal dinosaurs. Grooved dragons had five fingers on the forefoot and five toes on the hind paws.

Zoloftosaurus was a herbivorous dinosaur with leafy teeth, jagged edges, and located in the collodontis; this is also the origin of the name Zoloft. Their toothbones are less than half the length of their jaws. The front of the lower jaw is slightly curved downwards. Compared with the proximate dragon , the slotted toothed " had more teeth and a longer , narrower head.

Fossils of Zolochiosaurus are found in triassic strata of southern England and Wales. The Earth's climate during this period was warmer and drier. The dominant carnivores of the Late Triassic period were still mosaickillopods such as the Laurie crocodile, rather than the small carnivorous dinosaurs that had just emerged, while sauropods had replaced diodonts as dominant herbivores.
