Longtangwan Village is located in the hinterland of the central part of Taojiang County, which is a typical hilly area. In 2014, it was once a well-known "poor village" in the township. Since the implementation of precision poverty alleviation by the state, Longtangwan Village has tapped its own advantages in red resources, vigorously developed rural red tourism culture, and embarked on a road of red tourism revitalization with longtangwan village characteristics. Longtangwan Village is the hometown of the martyr Zhang Kundi. Zhang Kundi, along with Mao Zedong, Cai he and Sen, was called the "Three Jies of Yuelu". In the Chinese work-study movement in France, Zhang Kundi was known as the "Chinese Worker on the North Coast of France", and engaged in the Chinese workers' movement all his life, practicing the original mission of the Communists, and fighting for the liberation of the proletariat and the masses of the people to the last breath of his life.
Longtangwan Village built Zhang Kundi Cultural Square in the village service center, created a red cultural corridor, and turned Xiaoshan Village into a red patriotic education base by telling Zhang Kundi's red story. With the east wind of rural revitalization, Longtangwan Village has successively established "red farms" in the second half of 2021 to vigorously develop the rural tourism economy. "The turnover of the red farm exceeded 100,000 yuan in the first month, which not only solved the employment problem of the surplus labor force in the village, but also solved the problem of the sales of agricultural and sideline products of many villagers in the village." Xie Renzheng, secretary of the general branch of the party in Longtangwan Village, introduced to reporters the "red farm" that had only been open for two months, and his face was full of joy.
Since 2020, Longtangwan Village has created a beautiful pastoral landscape for red tourism by circulating mountain forest land and building edible mushroom planting and processing bases and rapeseed planting bases in the village.
