People's Daily Beijing, September 17 (Yin Xingyun) On September 15, the 2021 National Elderly Care Vocational Skills Competition Beijing Division Selection Competition, jointly sponsored by the Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau and the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, undertaken by the Beijing Pension Industry Association, and supported by the Beijing Taikang Yicai Public Welfare Foundation, opened. The three-day competition will be held on September 15 for the theoretical knowledge competition, and from September 16 to 17 for the operational skills competition and the continuous improvement care plan competition. The contestants are selected by the Beijing District Selection Competition, and the outstanding players selected by the Municipal Competition will represent Beijing municipality and form a team to participate in the National Elderly Care Vocational Skills Competition to be held in Nanjing in November.

During the event, Wu Bei, a second-level inspector of the Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau, said that in order to promote the high-quality development of old-age services, one of the most urgent measures is to accelerate the construction of a professional old-age service talent team with moderate scale, excellent quality and reasonable structure, making it a strong talent support, and the elderly caregiver is the main provider and backbone of the entire old-age service talent team. This year, the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security jointly held the National Elderly Care Vocational Skills Competition for the first time, and this city competition also hopes to give full play to the leading role in the form of competitions, comprehensively display the superb skills and professional style of Beijing elderly care workers, encourage the morale of the city's elderly care talent team, attract more young professionals to devote themselves to the elderly care industry, and effectively enhance the sense of professional responsibility, mission and honor.

Previously, the Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau and the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for the 2021 National Elderly Care Vocational Skills Competition Beijing Division Selection Competition", which specially organized and held a work deployment meeting to focus on the overall work arrangements of the municipal and district selection competitions.

As the main promoter of the development of the regional pension industry, Li Dong, secretary general of the Beijing Pension Industry Association, introduced that in order to achieve the goal of professional and professional development of pension service talents, under the guidance of the Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau, the Beijing Pension Industry Association has undertaken the tasks of improving the management and operation ability of the person in charge of the Beijing pension service institution for many years, and the professional skills training and assessment of the elderly care worker. The Beijing Division Selection Competition of the National Elderly Care Vocational Skills Competition is a landmark project of Beijing to promote the construction of the elderly care service talent team, and unlike the elderly care competition held in previous years, this year's municipal competition has been comprehensively improved in various dimensions such as technical rules and event organization. In addition to the traditional theoretical knowledge and operational skills competition, the comet vocational ability assessment part of the city competition has been added to the finalists of the city competition, requiring the players to have the ability to formulate a continuous improvement plan for the care of the elderly.

Ying Weiwei, chairman of the Beijing Taikang Yicai Charity Foundation, said that he will continue to give full play to the power of public welfare to help the elderly, and work with all pension practitioners to solve the problem of pension services in Beijing's megacities.

According to the "Beijing Aging Cause Development Report (2020)", during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period (2016-2020), the proportion of the total permanent population aged 60 and above in Beijing has risen to nearly 20%, and the degree of population aging has further deepened. In the face of the increasing regional characteristics of the elderly, the pension method represented by home, community and institutions urgently needs a large number of professional nursing talents to consolidate the industry foundation, and the demands from the market side and the double upgrading of consumption will also actively explore the potential space of the industry, such as special posts for different pension scenarios and high-quality services to meet long-term continuous care. Beijing will continue to vigorously support the development of the old-age care industry, actively promote the construction of the elderly care talent team, take the lead in building a professional old-age service talent team with excellent quality, reasonable structure and Seiko subdivision, and reserve the backbone for the development of The elderly care industry in Beijing.
