6,000,000 masks ordered in Germany were lost and "disappeared without a trace"

German media reported on the 24th that 6 million masks ordered by Germany in response to the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic were lost at the airport in the East African country of Kenya.

Germany's Der Spiegel magazine quoted a Spokesman for the German Ministry of National Defense as reporting that Germany ordered ffp2 protective masks and "disappeared without a trace" at an airport in Kenya. The Ministry of Defense is investigating the matter.

FFP2 mask is one of the European mask standard en149:2001, and its protective efficacy is equivalent to that of n95 masks certified by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.

The spokesman said that as of the 20th, tens of millions of masks ordered were sent to Germany, but the loss of this large order was "too annoying".

The German news agency reported that the procurement of emergency medical supplies to respond to the new crown pneumonia epidemic was operated by the German military and assisted by the Ministry of Health.
