On May 18, on the occasion of the 43rd "International Museum Day", the 2017 National Arts Fund's 2017 Annual Communication and Exchange Promotion Funding Project "Construction of China Shadow Puppet Network Communication Platform" undertaken by the China Academy of Art was officially launched. At present, the "Construction of China's Shadow Puppet Network Communication Platform" has collected more than 48,000 pieces of shadow puppet image resources, covering shadow puppets from all over the country and all genres; at the same time, more than 700 representative shadow puppet performance programs have been recorded in various places, including traditional plays full of historical memory, fables loved by children, and rock shadow puppets that are quite popular among young people.
According to the National Arts Fund Management Center, since 2016, the National Arts Fund has begun to fund projects to carry out communication and promotion through Internet channels to encourage innovation and exploration of art communication and promotion methods, and promote the coverage and participation of art communication and promotion. These projects focus on giving full play to the unique advantages of new media, grasping the law of communication, and promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of China's excellent traditional culture by promoting the multi-channel transmission, multi-platform display and multi-terminal push of excellent works of art. "Construction of China's Shadow Puppet Network Communication Platform" takes "shadow puppet performance", "oral history", "shadow puppet image", "shadow puppet record", "shadow shadow data", "shadow puppet literature", "shadow puppet documentary", "shadow puppet website", "shadow puppet gis", "small language version" and "shadow puppet derivative product" as the core, and builds an Internet museum with shadow puppet programs, interviews with 145 shadow puppet artists, 50,000 pieces of shadow puppet image resources, 120 shadow puppet records, 2 shadow puppet micro-film documentaries, and 9 language versions. And on the basis of pc-based websites, we develop websites based on mobile terminals such as mobile phones to fully display the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
In addition to shadow puppet images and performance programs, the "Construction of China Shadow Puppet Network Communication Platform" also collects shadow puppet singing documents, including many precious singing segments of famous shadow puppets in the Republic of China, such as the shadow puppet singing segment of Gao Rongjie, who is known as "Mei Lanfang of the Shadow Industry", the shadow puppet singing segment of "Shadow King" Zhang Shengwu, and the contemporary shadow puppet "Bowl Cavity King" Li Shijie also sang four shadow puppet singing segments at the age of 85. With the help of modern scientific and technological means, the organic combination of academic and popular science, knowledge and interest, the digital protection of shadow puppetry and network publicity have been better realized, and it has become the most abundant shadow puppet thematic website in the world.
Shadow puppetry, commonly known as "shadow lamp", "shadow puppet play", is one of the oldest folk art forms of the Chinese nation, according to legend, originated in the Han Dynasty, has a history of more than 2,000 years, is a collection of literature, art, sculpture, music, performance, drama and other art forms in one of the comprehensive art, known as "the earliest cartoon animation", has a deep mass base and a wide range of social influence.
