Dehong Dai Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, one of the 16 prefectures and cities in Yunnan Province, is located in the westernmost part of Yunnan Province. It has jurisdiction over 2 cities and 3 counties, and the state government is stationed in Mangshi (the full name of this city is called Mangshi), and the permanent population of the whole prefecture is more than 1.2 million.

"Dehong" is a transliteration of Dai, meaning "the place of the lower reaches of the Nu River". Dehong buffalo are tall and muscular, breeding more than 100,000 heads. There are tens of thousands of acres of coffee planted. Jingpo and Achang specialty households throw knives, known as "cutting iron like mud, blowing hair is broken", and the flexibility is very strong, known as "the world's first knife".

Mengbanasi, located in Mangshi, Dehong Prefecture. It is a "rare garden" that brings together rare ancient trees in the country and silicified wood jade that is rare in the world. Mangshi, formerly known as Luxi City, was renamed Mangshi in 2010 because of its proximity to Luxi County in Honghe Prefecture, in order to avoid the duplication of the word "city", it was not called "Mangshi City", in fact, this is a wrong name, because "Mangshi" was originally transliterated, also known as "Mangshi". Now the city is called "Mangshi", of which the proper name has only one "Mang" character, but there is still "Mangshi Town" under its jurisdiction.
