They include second-generation vaccine products that are effective against Delta strains, as well as special immune globulins and monoclonal antibodies that have been hailed as "miracle drugs" for treating COVID-19.
The head of Sinopharm China Biologics said that they brought four new crown vaccines to the trade fair, which belong to three technical routes such as inactivation, gene recombination and mRNA. These include a broad-spectrum recombinant COVID-19 vaccine that is "tailor-made" to the virus variant.
Zhu Jingjin, global head of the phase III clinical project of the new crown vaccine, secretary of the China Biological Party Committee of Sinopharm Group, said that this recombinant protein vaccine can effectively fight against mutant strains such as Delta from the perspective of Phase I/II clinical trials. Another mRNA variant strain, the new crown vaccine, is currently undergoing preclinical studies and large-scale production workshop layout, and is expected to enter the clinic by the end of the year. In addition, China Biologics also demonstrated a second-generation COVID-19 inactivated vaccine that can effectively neutralize delta strains.
Sinopharm China Biologics also debuted two "special drugs" for the treatment of new crown pneumonia at the service trade fair, including special exemption globulin that was just approved for clinical trials on the 8th and 30th, and monoclonal antibodies that can effectively neutralize the Delta variant.

This year, Sinopharm China Biologics showcased a specific immunoglobulin, which is prepared from plasma containing high-efficiency new crown antibodies as raw materials, is the world's first new crown pneumonia specific treatment drug prepared by plasma after immunization with inactivated new crown vaccine, and is also another breakthrough achievement of China Biology in the field of scientific research in the fight against new crown.
