On October 26, the "Chasing Dreams of China • Love the Grand Canal" 2021 Overseas Chinese Media Jiangsu Interview Tour was officially launched in Suzhou, and at the same time, the "Overseas Chinese Gusu • Jiangnan Culture" Chinese Media Overseas Chinese Alliance was inaugurated. The event was guided by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, hosted by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese of Jiangsu Province, and co-hosted by Suzhou, Nantong and Nanjing, and has been held for three consecutive years.

In his speech, Wang Biao said that Suzhou is one of the first 24 historical and cultural cities in the country, and it is also one of the important central cities in the Yangtze River Delta, and is making every effort to launch the two major brands of "Jiangnan Culture" and "Made in Suzhou". As the city with many areas and the richest heritage along the Grand Canal, suzhou has launched the construction of the "Ten Scenic Canals" project in recent years, striving to create the "most wonderful section" of the Grand Canal Cultural Belt. He sincerely hoped that overseas Chinese-language media could actively give play to the unique advantages of connecting China and foreign countries and communicating with the world, display their vivid experiences and personal feelings during their visits in Suzhou in various forms, jointly tell wonderful Stories of Suzhou, and spread Jiangnan culture.
As the country's first and currently the only national historical and cultural city protection area, Gusu District has always carried the development expectation of "doing practical and bright historical and cultural city core". In order to further inherit and give play to the influence of "Jiangnan Culture" and promote the integrated development of culture and tourism, at the launching ceremony, the "Overseas Chinese Gusu • Jiangnan Culture" Chinese Media Overseas Chinese Alliance was officially unveiled. Next, the alliance will accurately grasp the functional positioning of the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, take the initiative to integrate into the pattern of foreign propaganda work, strengthen the linkage with overseas Chinese media, tell Chinese stories to overseas Chinese and ethnic Chinese, enrich the supply of communication content, and be a beautiful "Jiangnan culture" Gusu window.
After the ceremony, the media representatives walked into the scenic spots along the canal such as Panmen, Master of Nets Garden, and Pingjiang Road to enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides of the canal, taste the water charm of Jiangnan that stretches for thousands of years, and feel the cultural context of the canal that has flowed for thousands of years. "Knowing that the Grand Canal is a masterpiece of China's water conservancy project, I didn't expect that the Grand Canal has so many precious heritage, especially the Suzhou section, which has 'ten views of the canal' and is so well protected." Wang Weiping, editor-in-chief of the Italian Overseas Chinese Network, has lived in Italy for many years, and because his parents are from Jiangsu, he has always had special feelings for Jiangsu. Along the way, he walked and photographed, freezing the beautiful scenery of Gusu on the small bridge flowing water and the white wall Dewa. He said that the history and culture hidden in the canal can easily evoke the memories and nostalgia of overseas Chinese and ethnic Chinese. Other overseas Chinese-language media have also shown strong interest in the Suzhou section of the Grand Canal.
It is reported that overseas Chinese-language media will conduct a 7-day inspection activity in Suzhou, Nantong and Nanjing. At that time, all media will focus on publicizing the achievements of Jiangsu's economic and social development and cultural construction at home and abroad, and show the style of overseas Chinese in the construction of the Grand Canal Cultural Belt.
