Recently, the State Textbook Committee announced the "Decision on the Award of the First National Textbook Construction Award", and the "Language" edited by Professor Ni Wenjin, a retired teacher of Hengyi Education College, won the first prize of the National Excellent Textbook (Vocational Education and Continuing Education Category). Professor Xu Hong of the School of Nursing won the National Advanced Individual Award for Textbook Construction.
On October 12, the National Textbook Work Conference and the First National Textbook Construction Award Commendation Conference were held in Beijing. At the meeting, Sun Chunlan, Vice Premier of the State Council and Director of the State Textbook Committee, conveyed the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on October 11, 2021 and the important instructions of Premier Li Keqiang, and made an important speech on the construction of teaching materials.
The National Textbook Construction Award is the highest award in the field of textbooks, which is selected every 4 years, and is a major system for reviewing and displaying the achievements of textbook construction and service party and state talent training, enhancing the sense of honor and responsibility of textbook workers, and promoting the construction of a textbook system with Chinese characteristics and world level. The first National Textbook Construction Award is divided into three awards: National Excellent Textbook, National Advanced Collective for Textbook Construction, and National Advanced Individual for Textbook Construction. After evaluation, a total of 999 kinds of national excellent teaching materials, 99 advanced collectives of national textbook construction, and 200 advanced individuals of national textbook construction were finally selected.
The achievements made in the first National Textbook Construction Award are the important results of our school in comprehensively implementing the party's education policy, adhering to the fundamental task of Lide Shuren, deeply implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and strictly implementing the requirements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on strengthening and improving the construction of textbooks in colleges and universities under the new situation. In recent years, our school attaches great importance to the construction of undergraduate teaching materials, and has issued the "Administrative Measures for the Selection and Selection of Undergraduate Students' Teaching Materials of Hangzhou Normal University" to standardize the management of teaching materials; and the "Notice of Hangzhou Normal University on the Incentive Measures for Undergraduate Teaching Work" to encourage the construction of new forms of teaching materials. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the school will strengthen the planning of teaching material construction, focusing on the construction of teaching materials and the construction of key teaching materials.
First Prize of National Excellent Textbook: "Language"
Edited by Professor Ni Wenjin and published by Higher Education Press, the first volume and the second volume (fourth edition) of "Language (Basic Module)" won the first prize of the National Excellent Textbook (Vocational Education and Continuing Education Category). This set of teaching materials is a national planning textbook for curriculum reform in secondary vocational schools, which was approved by the National Secondary Vocational Education Textbook Approval Committee when it was first published in 2009.
Since the publication of the first edition in 2009, after two revisions in 2013 and 2018, this set of teaching materials has played an important role in standardizing the implementation of the language curriculum in secondary vocational schools, strengthening cultural basic education, and cultivating high-quality workers, and has been tested in teaching practice and fully affirmed by teachers and students. In order to further implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Party and the spirit of the National Education Conference, and implement the fundamental task of Lide Shuren, in 2019, the set of teaching materials was guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and guided by the core values of socialism, and the fourth revision was carried out, focusing on improving the ideological, scientific, epochal and systematic nature of the teaching materials.
National Textbook Construction Advanced Individual Award: Xu Hong
Xu Hong, Professor, Dean of the Institute of Health and Nursing. He is a member of the International Nursing Honor Society, a senior member of the Chinese Nursing Society, and the person in charge of the provincial excellent course of "Acute Critical Care Nursing". He is also a review expert of the Degree Center of the Ministry of Education, a member of the National Higher Nursing College Education Committee, a member of the Textbook Review Committee of the National Higher Nursing Colleges and Universities of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a core expert of the China Welfare Association of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, a vice chairman of the Teaching Steering Committee of Nursing Majors in Zhejiang Province, and a standing editorial board member and review expert of 5 core journals such as China Nursing Education.
Professor Xu Hong has been engaged in nursing career for 40 years, and has fed back 17 years of rich clinical nursing work experience and scientific research achievements, and in 23 years of nursing education, the construction of textbooks has achieved great results, and the editor-in-chief has published 21 undergraduate national planning textbooks and 4 main reviewers. Based on the construction of the provincial excellent course "Acute critical nursing" and published 9 textbooks such as "Emergency Nursing" and "Acute Critical Nursing", the theoretical and practical textbook system of the course has been improved, and the gap of the undergraduate national planning textbook for nursing majors during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period of the school has been filled. Published G20 Hangzhou Summit volunteer first aid training textbooks, commended by the Summit Health Department, the curriculum, teaching materials construction results directly serve the society, led the team to extend the classroom to the troops, communities, colleges and universities and vocational training, trained more than 100,000 CPR people, especially for nine consecutive years in the school freshman military training to popularize CPR, has become the school's new student education characteristics and highlights, reflecting the responsibility of an educator and caregiver. At the same time as the construction of undergraduate nursing textbooks, Professor Xu Hong also edited a series of "treatment of diseases" and health management textbooks and more than ten textbooks for elderly care, maternal and infant nursing vocational education and on-the-job education. Of the 21 textbooks edited, 12 were published by the People's Medical Publishing House. The types range from national planning textbooks, audio-visual audio-visual planning textbooks, study guides, network value-added to popular science books; from text, audio-visual, paper, digital, Chinese to English. The teaching and scientific research achievements have won 11 provincial, ministerial and municipal school-level teaching achievement awards, of which 6 are from the teaching materials, and at the same time, a teaching and teaching material construction team with the nursing profession as the main and multidisciplinary collaboration as the supplement has been created.
