Sun Qifeng, also spelled Qitai and Zhong Yuan, was a famous theologian of the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. Contemporary scholars call Sun Qifeng "Northern Learning" and juxtaposed him with Huang Zongxi's "Southern Learning". The name of Huang Zongxi, there is no need to say more about it, and Huang Zongxi is introduced in modern history textbooks, and I think everyone has a certain understanding.
Huang Zongxi was a famous theologian at that time, and he could stand side by side with Huang Zongxi, which shows that Sun Qifeng's own talent and learning should be extremely outstanding. Confucianism regards "Lide", "Li Yan" and "Meritorious Service" as the "three immortals", and some modern scholars believe that Sun Qifeng is worthy of these three immortals.
In 1584, Sun Qifeng was born into a family of eunuchs in Rongcheng, Baoding Province. His grandson was honest and upright as an official and was praised by the township.
Sun Qifeng rarely has great ambitions, is determined to study, carries the learning of the world, and wants to make meritorious achievements and make a name for himself. When he was fourteen years old, he entered Yikou to pay homage to Yang Shangbao. Yang Shangbao liked him more, so he said: "Set up in a besieged city, there is no grain blade inside and no rescue outside, so why should it be?" ”
Sun Qifeng did not hesitate at all, and Lang Sheng replied, "Don't go to death." At that time, Yang Shangbao had said that he would have great achievements in the future. At the age of seventeen, he took the exam and ascended the List of The Golden Zhao of the Year of the Ten Thousand Li Gengzi.
At the age of seventeen, you can continue to take the exam. But because he happened to meet at that time, his parents died one after another, so he spent nearly six years at the funeral. At that time, in order to reward him for his filial piety, the imperial court asked him and Lu Shanji to go to lecture. The two were strong when they participated in the township examination, and they knew each other as they were when they saw each other. When they see each other again in the future, they are in the same room, and they "expect each other to be sages."
Although Sun Qifeng did not take the imperial examination, he still contributed his strength when the situation was chaotic at the end of the Ming Dynasty and the government was corrupt. Although it will not turn the tide, it will also have little credit.
During the Ming Dynasty,Wei Zhongxian took control of the government, and many ministers in the court who refused to rely on the castration party were suppressed. Among them, Zuo Guangdou, Wei Dazhong, Zhou Shunchang and others all made friends with Sun Qifeng and Lu Shanji, who at that time assisted Sun Chengzong in the military, so Sun Chengzong interceded like Sun Chengzong and asked for help with great righteousness, hoping that Sun Chengzong could go to the rescue. Sun Chengzong agreed to this, but before he could enter the pilgrimage to see the emperor intercede, Zuo Guangdou and others were killed in prison.
The castration party did not count the lives of people, and also framed people for huge corruption, demanding that their families be recovered and the stolen money recovered. Sun Qifeng and Lu Shanji raised donations from the people to hand them over on their behalf, which saved the lives of their families and redeemed the bones. This righteous deed was praised by the people of the time, who praised them as the three martyrs of Fanyang.
Later, some people elected Sun Qifeng to become an official in the DPRK, but Sun Qifeng resigned. Sun Chengzong and Fan Jingwen and others all wanted to hire Sun Qifeng to assist them, but Sun Qifeng did not agree to any of them.
After the fall of the Ming Dynasty, Beijing was occupied by the Qing army, so Sun Qifeng moved his family south and moved to Xiafeng Village in Hui County, Henan Province, where he lived in seclusion and did not care about the world. During this period, the Qing Dynasty repeatedly recruited him and ordered him to enter the dynasty as an official and take charge of the state, but he was rejected by Sun Qifeng.
Sun Qifeng later led his disciples to cultivate here, and there were people from all over the four sides who came to study, and sun Qifeng also granted land to them to cultivate in addition to teaching. In this way, people gradually gathered, and finally a village was formed.
Sun Qifeng lived in seclusion in Xia Feng until he was old, and finally died in the fourteenth year of the Kangxi Dynasty at the age of ninety-two. During the Daoguang years, from the Temple of Ancestral Literature.
