The 2015 scholar-painter Wang Jingheng (Wang Yi) commemorative solo exhibition was held at the Sichuan Art Museum

On December 20, 2015, Wang Jingheng's (Wang Yi) 2015 commemorative exhibition was launched at the Sichuan Art Museum. The exhibition features some of the masterpieces of the painter Mr. Wang Jingheng, many of which are from the collection of the National Art Museum of China. The exhibition runs until December 26.

Wang Jingheng (1928~2012.03.13), also known as Wang Yi, zi jizhi. A native of Chengdu, he is a visiting professor at the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts. Outstanding painter of large-scale landscapes, flowers and birds, and figures. The flower teachers Wu Changshuo and Ren Bonian traced the families of Shen Shitian and Huang Gongwang on the landscape, and seriously studied Huang Binhong's brushwork and ink method; later became acquainted with the painter Chen Zizhuang. Wang Jingheng lived a life away from the hustle and bustle, lonely and cultivated, and finally achieved a unique personal style and created a lot of creations. In 1988, the "Mr. Wang Jingheng Painting Exhibition" was held in the Sichuan Provincial Fine Arts Exhibition Hall. In 1994, more than 20 works were exhibited in various salons and colleges in Toulouse, France, and then interviewed by a reporter from the French newspaper "Cross"; In 1996, some of his works were exhibited in the UNESCO building in Toulouse. In 2001, he held the "Wang Jingheng Painting Exhibition" at the Chengdu Museum of Modern Art. In 2008, the National Art Museum of China held the "Wang Jingheng Art and Donation Works Exhibition" for him and treasured 100 of his works. In 2011, his works were selected for the "Fifty Years of Donated Works Exhibition of the National Art Museum of China", and have successively published "Wang Jingheng Painting Collection", "Wang Jingheng Calligraphy Collection", "Wang Jingheng Talk art record" and so on.

Mr. Wang has been diligent, simple and simple all his life, and has spent most of his life thinking about and pursuing his artistic ideals in reading and painting. This time, Mr. Wang Lao's 138 Chinese paintings and calligraphy works will be exhibited in the new museum of Sichuan Art Museum, and he will tell the audience with a new artistic language that the happy and noble artistic spirit will be the endless root of artistic creation.
