The red-bellied red-tailed plover ( scientific name : phoenicurus erythrogastrus ) is a genus of red-tailed plovers in the family Grebe. The larger red-tailed plover has a greyish head on its head and large white spots on its wings. The hardy red-tailed plover inhabits high altitudes. Sex is fearful and withdrawn. It is found in the Caucasus Mountains, Central Asia, Turkey, the Himalayas, northwest and central China, and the Tibetan Plateau.

The blue-fronted red-tailed plover (scientific name: phoenicurus frontalis) is 14–16 cm long. The blue-browed forest plover ( scientific name : tarsigerrufilatus , English name : himalayan bluetail ) is a bird of the genus Himalayan bluetail in the family Grebe , which literally translates to Himalayan blue-tailed plover and Himalayan red-tailed blue-tailed plover. This species has long been classified as a southwest Asian species of the red-winged blue-tailed plover. It is mainly distributed in the eastern region of Asia, the Far East of Russia, Mongolia, the Korean Peninsula, the Japanese archipelago and China.
