Fang Shengdong (1886~1911), Ziming, a native of Minhou, Fujian, was one of the "Seventy-Two Martyrs of Huanghuagang".
Gao Xiang, deputy mayor of Gulou District Government, Ye Yifang, director of Gulou District Bureau of Culture, Sports and Tourism, relevant responsible persons of Huada Street and descendants of the Fang family attended the event. At the event site, accompanied by the countdown of "3, 2, 1", Gao Xiang, Ye Yifang and representatives of the Descendants of the Fang family unveiled the plaque of Fang Shengdong's former residence together, and the scene issued a burst of applause.
At the scene, 16 "cultural and tourism integration people's heart enterprises" enterprises and 13 Gulou District's fifth batch of district-level intangible cultural heritage representative projects were awarded at the ceremony.

Square Sound Cave
In 1905, Sun Yat-sen established the "Chinese League" in Tokyo. Fang Shengdong joined the League with his wife Wang Ying, brother Fang Shengtao, sister Fang Junying, widow Zeng Xing, sister-in-law Zheng Meng, and the family of six were all members of the China League.

On April 27, 1911, under the leadership of Huang Xing, Fang Shengdong invaded the Guangdong Governor's Office. During the fierce battle, Fang Shengdong was also shot and bleeding all over his body, and he died of exhaustion, at the age of 25, buried in the Huanghuagang Martyrs Cemetery. Afterwards, when Huang Xing reported on the passage, he particularly praised him for "having the courage to go to war in the year of flowers."
Fangshengdong Former Residence
Fangshengdong Former Residence is located in Gulou District Huada Street Jiucai Community within the Jiucai Lane No. 16, was built in the Qing Xianfeng period (1851 ~ 1861), originally two connected, before and after several large courtyards, the gate originally hung FangshengDong compatriot Bo Fang Jia Shu to take the Qing Guangxu eighteenth year (1892) "Chaoyuan" plaque. Now it is a district-level cultural relics protection unit in Gulou District.
The former residence now only has the first entrance, covering an area of about 300 square meters, for civil architecture, sitting north to south, through the bucket structure, there is a door room, the first entrance is three wide, seven columns deep, still preserved the original appearance. The flower hall, the fish pond and the second courtyard have all been renovated.
In the exhibition hall, the exhibition of the life deeds of Fang Shengdong is exhibited, "Proud Dry Clouds, Blue Blood and Yellow Flowers", which introduces Fang Shengdong's life from the birth of a family, rising up for the great righteousness of the nation, participating in the uprising and dedicating himself to the revolution, a short and fiery life.
