The sudden outbreak of the new crown epidemic in early 2020 has caused many film and television creators to press the pause button, and this annual reunion is also what Shanghai's old filmmakers have been looking forward to for a long time. "Chongyang Festival is what many old artists look forward to all year round, but fortunately, the epidemic prevention and control work is getting better and better, so that everyone has the opportunity to reunite." Tong Ruixin, head of the actors troupe, said.

The epidemic has hit the film and television industry hard, but the artists who went to the film still worked hard to create conditions and opened another window online. After the reunion after the epidemic, the actor troupe also "reviewed" everyone's achievements this year. During the epidemic period, Tong Ruixin, the head of the troupe, participated in the creation and recitation of a song "Waiting in the Wind and Rain" that was reproduced and disseminated on various platforms across the country, and the Wuhan Emergency Radio Station also played the voices of Shanghai filmmakers for the first time. At the same time, the artists of the Shanghai Film Actors Troupe cooperated with the Wuhan People's Art Theater on "We Are Friends from Wuhan".
From February 22 to March 18, the Shanghai Film Actors Troupe and Xinmin Evening News jointly launched the fourth season of online "Sound and Shadow" - Shensheng Love Audio Program, a total of 20 episodes. Performing artists such as Niu Ben, Da Shi Chang, Liang Boluo, Tranquility, Gong Xue, Xi Meijuan and so on are using their best voices to convey the true feelings in these true stories.
2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. To this end, the Shanghai Film Actors Troupe has participated in the creation of a series of key theme film and television dramas.

In addition, Yu Hui starred in the major revolutionary historical theme film "Deng Xiaoping Trail", Wang Weiwei starred in the main theme TV series "Beautiful Xiangyang Village" and "Hello Procurator", Wu Mian starred in the TV series "Jinxin Like Jade" and "8090", Zhao Yali starred in the key TV series "Stone Blossoms" with accurate poverty alleviation themes, and Tang Yan starred in the TV series "Blossoms".
At the end of this year, the original epic drama "Sunrise Oriental" created by the Shanghai Film Actors Troupe will be rearranged again. This year, the troupe specially self-financed the construction of a small professional recording studio, and Dashi often proposed that the first work of the troupe recording studio be set as the world famous work "Oxfly", and recreate this world classic work with sound.
This year coincided with the official retirement of troupe actors Zhang Xiaolin, Yu Hui and Zhang Kang'er, and the troupe presented them with honorary certificates, recalling their decades of artistic achievements and significant contributions to the troupe. Wang Jian'er and Tong Ruixin presented honorary certificates to senior actors Dashi chang and Zhang Wenrong, who had just entered the 80s. Zhang Xiaolin, who does not accept the old age, said that he "can play a young man for a few more years."
As the only remaining actor troupe in the Chinese film industry today, tong Ruixin, the leader of the troupe, said that this is "the feelings of Shanghainese people and the feelings of Chinese filmmakers".
