In my memory, he did not have the majesty of being called the "Godfather" in his imagination, on the contrary, plainness and gentleness were the first impressions he left on me. I remember when we first met, I couldn't wait to tell him that "we are alumni", and I don't know if his gentle side of the relationship is related to this.
I never thought that today, more than ten years later, we accidentally met in the WeChat alumni group. In order to dispel the alumni's suspicions about his true identity on WeChat, Brother Zhao (as everyone in the alumni group calls him) sent several photos of different periods in succession to confirm his true identity. For alumni speeches, he often replied with hilarious picture emoticons, so much so that alumni who had once belonged to him said that he had "changed too much, like an old naughty boy".
Zhao Xinxian, who has been at the helm of sanjiu group for 20 years, once built sanjiu from a military pharmaceutical factory into a huge conglomerate with assets of more than 20 billion yuan, and was criminally detained in 2005. He once quoted a quote from taiwanese writer Li Ao, "Men who have been soldiers and men who have been in prison are real men" to joke about his experience.
Zhao Xinxian, who is now over seventy years old, has experienced vicissitudes and ups and downs, and has taken command of Jiangsu Xinxian Pharmaceutical co., Ltd. Just like the chu Shijian who touched and inspired countless people, started a business again at the age of eighty, and was once the "king of Chinese tobacco", Zhao Xinxian, whose sideburns were white and still in good spirits, although he had been tempered, his tenacious and optimistic personality would also be doomed to his unwillingness to be mediocre.

That was more than forty years ago, around 1973, when the Qiqihar Military Medical College of the Chinese People's Liberation Army was ordered to move south to Changsha in October 1969, and after staying for half a year, we continued to move south to Guangzhou Jinan University, and our family also moved to Guangzhou.
In 1972, several things happened in our family, happy events: the second boy was born eight pounds, Dr. Wang and I were promoted to the next level at the same time, the hospital party committee decided that Dr. Wang went to school to study in the medical department, and approved me to join the party; bad things: I went to Baoding to attend an academic conference and came back, and one day I suddenly had tachycardia in the middle of the night and was hospitalized in the cardiology department, stayed for half a year, and was diagnosed as incomplete conduction block of the right branch.
In 1973, I was at the outpatient pharmacy in the afternoon before work to send the wrong medicine, sixteen-year-old boy He Wen, the prescription is phosphate 㭛枇azine, 12 tablets, taken in two divided doses, is for roundworms. In the midst of the chaos, I sent out the chloroquine phosphate that was nearby. Physician Xu Zhenghui was not at ease to take medicine to verify with me, I had no experience, and insisted that there was no mistake. This incident caused a medical accident, and After He Wen was hospitalized for rescue, he was cured and discharged from the hospital. However, this incident occurred when the whole army implemented Premier Zhou's instructions and strengthened the construction of medical work style, and became a typical example in the movement.
In the second half of 1973, I had rotated to the Chinese pharmacy. One day after taking a nap and getting up to work, I suddenly felt a headache, and the back of my head seemed to have a bowl buckled there, which was very uncomfortable, numb and slightly painful. One day Dr. Jin Zhikui of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department (who was assigned a year later than me) told me that he had a headache, took various Western medicines that were ineffective, and finally took the Chinese medicine Chen Baotian (two years later than me) Chinese medicine decoction to cure. He encouraged me to find Chen Baotian to take Chinese medicine. I told him that I had used several Western medicines such as sormitol, oryzanol, etc., and it did not work. He said that if we study Western medicine and Western medicine, we should believe in Chinese medicine.
I suddenly remembered: In the winter of 1948, when I was eight years old, my whole family followed my father from Yingkou to wafangdian, and half a year later I fell ill with typhoid fever. At that time, the medical conditions in Dalian were very poor, and my father found an old Chinese medicine doctor, and I drank Chinese medicine every day and cured my disease. Now look, if I rely on Western medicine alone, there will be no Zhao Xinxian today, it is Traditional Chinese medicine that saved my life. Thinking of this, I did not hesitate to go to Chen Baotian Chinese Medicine.
We have a lot of contact in the business, he prescribes Chinese medicine, we mix him, we give him pain. When I found him, Chen Baotian swore to me: "Take my Chinese medicine, promise to cure your disease in a month, and if I can't cure it, I will walk head-on to the ground to show you." He is very confident that his prescription is to use large doses of chinese medicines that activate blood and dissolve stasis, such as Sichuan root, safflower, hook and so on. Since then, every day I have carefully grabbed the middle crab according to the prescription, and after work, I have used sand pot at home to fry, the first fry for two hours, the second for one hour. Insist on drinking the medicinal soup twice a day, insist on 26 days, after getting up at noon, suddenly the headache symptoms disappeared, the head was very relaxed, and the bowl buckled on the back of the head was gone. According to Chen Baotian's request, I stopped taking it after taking it for one month. Since then, I have not had a headache again.
By chance, I met Principal Zhao Yunhong who reported this matter to him, and he encouraged me to use this formula to make a medicine. When Chen Baotian chased after me to thank him, I introduced Him to President Zhao's instructions and requirements, and he was also very happy. The two of us also discussed the plan for manufacturing a complete drug: first, the name is called "Headache Miracle Dan"; second, the dosage form: water pan pills; third, the dosage: take twice a day, six grams each time; fourth, add 0.1 grams of pain tablet powder per dose to achieve rapid effect; Fifth, I carry out pharmacological experiments and toxicological experiments in pharmacies. Under the enthusiastic work of Chen Baotian and me, the "Headache Miracle Dan" was soon used in the Southern Hospital, became famous, and became as famous at home and abroad as sanjiu punch (the predecessor of sanjiu gastric tai).
On an afternoon in the summer of 1984, President Zhao led several members of our expert group to visit Marshal Xu Xiangqian at the Tiger Cave Sanatorium in the Guangzhou Military District. In addition to me, the members of the expert group include Lu Zhengang, director of the Department of Cardiology, Zhou Dianyuan, director of the Department of Gastroenterology, and Zheng Hu, director of the Department of Neurology. Xu Shuai and his wife met us and told us very kindly about the headaches and diseases he caused during the war years.
I have read the memoirs written by Marshal Xu Qianqian three times, and today I understand very well the reasons for the headaches of these veteran marshals who commanded and fought for the revolution. I introduced xu Shuai to our "headache miracle dan" and advocated that he take this medicine for a long time. Xu Shuai said to listen to me and prepare to take it. Xu Shuai also said that there are many people in China who have headaches, and they should produce in large quantities to cure the people's diseases. I told him that with the approval of the Central Military Commission and the approval of the General Logistics Party Committee, our school agreed to run the Southern Pharmaceutical Factory in Shenzhen, and I was also ready to use the "Headache Miracle Dan" as a product of the pharmaceutical factory for mass production. Xu Shuai was very happy to hear this, he said, Chinese medicine is a national treasure, I hope we will do a good job in the pharmaceutical factory, I hope that the Chinese people can eat the medicine we produce and cure the disease. When he knew that this medicine was all Chinese medicine ingredients and there were no chemical drugs, he was very happy, he said that he had taken a lifetime of Western medicine to cure headaches, not only did not cure but also brought a lot of side effects. He encouraged us to take the road of integrating Chinese and Western medicine.
Later, listening to Xu Shuai's secretary tell me that Xu Shuai had been taking it for three months, the effect was obvious, the headache was alleviated, and the amount of Western medicine was reduced a lot. I asked Secretary Xu Shuai to help, asked Xu Shuai to give the name inscription of the Southern Pharmaceutical Factory, and Secretary Xu Shuai said that he could help. Before New Year's Day, Xu Shuai's secretary sent me Xu Shuai's inscription "Southern Pharmaceutical Factory". Xu Shuai's secretary said that Xu Shuai was very happy when he wrote the inscription, and wrote it twice in a row.
After the construction of the Factory of Nanfang Pharmaceutical Factory in 1986, I found someone to make Xu Shuai's inscription into a slogan and a lamp sign to stand on the roof of the factory building, and the lights were very eye-catching at night, which was unique in Shenzhen at that time. In July of that year, Minister Hong Xuezhi inspected the Southern Pharmaceutical Factory and went to the top of the factory to see Xu Shuai's inscription, and was very surprised (Minister Hong was from the Four Fronts Army, Xu Shuai's old subordinate, which is what I know by reading Minister Hong's memoirs). When I returned the favor, Minister Hong praised me.
Later, President Zhao Asked Marshal Ye Jianying, who was in charge of the work of the Central Military Commission at the time, to give the university an inscription, and above the university door appeared "Chinese the First Military Medical University of the People's Liberation Army, Ye Jianying", which was also balanced between the two old marshals.
Li Hongbing was full of vigor and vigor, and his dealings with the leaders of the Guangdong Provincial Health Department were very successful, and the director of a certain health department who was old and slippery, and the section chief who had been transferred from the Guangzhou Military Region and was full of bullish spirits, were all taken down by Li Hongbing, who had just graduated, and he was a really remarkable young man. Southern Pharmaceutical Factory officially declared the "Headache Divine Effect Dan" and finally approved it. The products of Nanfang Pharmaceutical Factory have added a new main force "Zhengtian Pill".
Years later, I gave a lecture to dozens of scientists at the Institute of Nutritional Medicine at the University of Southern California, and the third story I told was the story of Marshal Xu Xiangqian of China and Zhengtian Maru.
