Wang Chongyang is the first of the "Five Absolutes" in Jin Yong's classic works "Legend of the Archery Hero" and "Divine Eagle Hero", known as "ZhongshenTong", who once defeated the Eastern Evil Yellow Medicine Master, the Western Poison Ouyang Feng, the Southern Emperor Duan Zhixing, and the Northern Qigong during the first Huashan Sword Debate, and won the title of "Nine Yin True Classics" and the first place in the world of martial arts.
Wang Chongyang founded the Quanzhen Sect in Zhongnan Mountain, which is known as the "Authentic Sect of Martial Arts under Heaven", and was one of the most famous and upright sects in the world. However, when Wang Chongyang died, the Quanzhen Sect gradually declined.

In the first generation of the Quanzhen Sect, Wang Chongyang's disciple Zhou Botong relied on his own diligent cultivation and hard training to create the kung fu of empty Ming Fist and "two-handed fighting", plus the fate of the association to learn the martial arts recorded in the Nine Yin True Scriptures, becoming a figure who could stand shoulder to shoulder with the "Five Absolutes", and by the third time Huashan discussed the sword, he could officially become a member of the new "Five Absolutes" and replace Wang Chongyang's position.
In the second generation of the Quanzhen Sect, there were a total of 7 Descendants of Wang Chongyang, known as the "Seven Sons of Quanzhen", namely Ma Yu, Qiu Chuji, Tan Chuduan, Wang Chuyi, Hao Datong, Liu Chuxuan, and Sun Bu'er. None of these 7 people can enter the "five absolutes" or quasi-"five absolutes". If they fought alone, the highest martial arts between them would not even be able to defeat the disciples of the "Five Absolutes".

In the third generation of the Quanzhen Sect, there were Yin Zhiping, Zhao Zhijing, Shen Zhifan, Zhang Zhiguang, Cui Zhifang, Ma Zhifang, Wang Zhitan, Li Zhichang and others. By the fourth generation of the Quanzhen Sect, although the scale was huge, the level of martial arts had plummeted, and even characters such as Lu Qingdu had run out, and had degenerated to the point where even the Seven Monsters of Jiangnan were inferior.

First, Wang Chongyang has long left behind the law of "heavy road and light force"
Although Wang Chongyang is the first of the "Five Absolutes" and the first in the world of martial arts, he is essentially a Taoist person, focusing on preaching and practicing martial arts.
Zhou Botong was obsessed with martial arts, but Wang Chongyang hated him for being "too persistent, not the Taoist principle of quiet and inaction" and did not want him to become a Taoist. Among the Seven Sons of Quanzhen, Qiu Chuji had the highest martial arts skills, but Wang Chongyang did not like him, saying that he was "obsessed with studying martial arts and abandoned the Taoist kung fu", passing on the position of head to Ma Yu, who was very high in Taoism and inferior in martial arts to Qiu Chuji and Wang Chuyi. Among the third generation of disciples of the Quanzhen Sect, Zhao Zhijing had the highest martial arts skills, and as a result, he did not become the leader, but was held by Yin Zhiping, whose martial arts were inferior to his.

Under the law of "emphasizing the Tao over the martial arts", the Quanzhen Sect has formed a teaching atmosphere that attaches importance to preaching and despises the study of martial arts. If this is the case, how can it be possible to cultivate a martial arts master who is "blue out of blue and better than blue"?
Second, the Quanzhen Sect has the form of "the authentic martial arts of the world", and martial arts are not unique
In fact, the martial arts of the Quanzhen Sect were not as high as everyone thought.
Why was Wang Chongyang able to practice to be the first in the world? The reason is simple: he is a genius. In the words of Zhou Botong, Wang Chongyang was "born great, and many of the principles in martial arts are naturally understood, not as diligent as I am." The vast majority of people's qualifications, including the Seven Sons of Quanzhen, could not reach the level of Wang Chongyang in martial arts no matter how they cultivated. Just like the vast majority of scientists in the world, no matter how hard they try, they can't reach Einstein's level.
So, why was Zhou Botong able to practice to the top of the new "Five Perfections"? This is because although Zhou Botong has the foundation of the Quanzhen Sect's martial arts, none of his most powerful martial arts come from the Quanzhen Sect. Guo Jing and Yang Guo are the same reason.

In this case, the Quanzhen Sect has cultivated first-class masters such as the Seven Sons of Quanzhen, which is already an extraordinary play; the cultivation of quasi-first-class masters such as Yin Zhiping and Zhao Zhijing is a normal play; and the cultivation of goods like Lu Qingdu is an abnormal play -- or rather, it is the result of the Quanzhen Sect blindly expanding the enrollment regardless of the restrictions of the teaching staff.
Third, Wang Chongyang made a mistake in choosing the "Treasure of Zhenjiao" for the Quanzhen Sect
Each sect in the martial arts has its own "treasure of the town gang" and "treasure of the town gate". Of course, the Quanzhen Sect must have its own "treasure of zhenjiao."
At the beginning, after Wang Chongyang won the Nine Yin True Scriptures, he could completely take out one or two advanced martial arts in this scripture as the "treasure of zhenjiao" of the Quanzhen Sect. But he did not do this, but created a set of Tiangang Beidou Array. Such an approach indirectly led to the gradual decline of the quanzhen sect's high-end armed forces, until one generation was inferior to another.
Why? The Tiangang Beidou Array is a system of collective combat. Because it is a collective operation, it has the effect of 1+1 greater than 2. The Seven Sons of Quanzhen set up the Tiangang Beidou Array, and the total value of the force was about equal to one "Five Absolutes", in addition to being able to run amok in the world.

However, under such a collective combat system, those who are very strong in martial arts cannot get a good play; those who have weak martial arts are well protected, just like "eating a big pot of rice", which makes the disciples of the Quanzhen Sect too obsessed with collective combat and give up the exploration of individual martial arts.
