According to the relevant person in charge of the Chenjiaba Police Station of the Beichuan County Public Security Bureau, at about 11:00 p.m. one night before the Spring Festival, when the river sheriff was patrolling and inspecting the Duba River, he found that there was a bright light shaking in the Caishen section of Qushan Town. On the bank of the dam is a plastic bucket containing 7 stone fish (common name) and a hemp roe.

The police learned through on-site inquiries that the man Tang Mou, a native of Deyang City, was working in a sand field in Beichuan. Tang confessed that he knew that the rivers in Beichuan were forbidden to fish, because he wanted to eat wild fish, he had a fluke mentality, sneaked into the Duba River late at night, fixed the waste steel bars picked up in the sand field in a row in the river, tied the purchased fish sticky nets on the steel bars, tied the lower end of the fish nets with stones, and chased the fish to the nets in the upstream by driving and stepping on the stones, and caught 8 fish in more than half an hour.

According to the police, on February 5, they sent the fish caught by Tang to the relevant departments for identification. After identification, the 8 fish are Yellowstone climbing bass and middle warsaw loach, and belong to the aquatic wild animals with important economic value in our province.

The Red Star News reporter learned that the Notice No. 11 of the People's Government of Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County [Beifutong] stipulates that from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2030, the key waters of Beichuan will be banned from fishing all year round, and the scope of the ban on fishing is: Pingtong River (Beichuan section), Qingbi River, Baicao River, Tongkou River, Duba River, Anchang River, Subao River, Chaping River main stream and its first-class tributaries. Whoever illegally captures natural fishery resources within the scope and time limits of the prohibited fishing shall be punished in accordance with the "Fisheries Law of the People's Republic of China", the "Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China" and other legal provisions.
