
Description: Northwest wheat bug, scientific name aelia sibirica reuter. It belongs to the order Hemiptera, family Bugs. It is harmful to wheat, rice and other grasses. The domestic occurrence areas start from Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, and Xinjiang in the north, and the northern limit is close to the northern border; the southernmost area is not 35o north latitude, and the southernmost area is Shanxi Yuanqu, Shaanxi Pucheng, Gansu Wudu, and Qinghai Xunhua, and the east is adjacent to the eastern border of the former Soviet Union and the northern border of North Korea, and runs through Gansu in the west, reaching the western part of Xinjiang; Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Qinghai, and Xinjiang are local places, with a large density and can cause certain losses. It is found in Mongolia, the former Soviet Union, Central Asia, Syria, Turkey, and Europe.
Morphological characteristics: Adults are 9 to 11 mm long, yellowish brown, with black and white longitudinal stripes, the head is tilted downwards, and the anterior end is pointed and split. The small shield is particularly tongue-shaped and longer than the center of the ventral dorsal area. Egg bun shaped, reddish brown. The nymphs are black for most or even the whole body, with red compound eyes and yellow between the abdominal segments.
