Ding Baodong advocated that painters should not rely too much on cameras, but should sketch more, observe more, and record the touching "focus" and moving "notes" of life at any time. Over the years, he has made friends with cranes and used cranes as companions, and has established special feelings with cranes, and can get close to them, describe their graceful and colorful posture, record their thoughtful and sentimental looks, seize the real fresh feelings, and find the source of the living water of creation. Ding Baodong has done a good job of transforming traditional and modern crane writing techniques into flower and bird paintings with the characteristics of the times, which is not unrelated to his personal character cultivation and artistic attitude. Be a person, low-key and introverted, but I do my own thing. For the sake of art, no matter what else, everything is used by me. Using cranes as carriers to praise nature, pay attention to living beings, and interpret life. Ding Baodong's crane was leaping towards the vast world of the Great Flower and Bird Realm. In order to realize the great Chinese dream, Ding Baodong's holy and auspicious crane will have the spirit of the new era of flying cranes in the sky, spreading its wings and soaring over the clouds.

He is now a national first-class artist, professor, member of the Chinese Artists Association, and a professional painter of the Qinhuangdao Academy of Painting.
