On November 5, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin presided over a regular press conference. When asked by a reporter, Pierre, deputy press secretary of the US White House, said that it is extremely important to find out the source of the new crown virus, and the US side and partners will continue to urge China to show transparency. What is China's comment on this?
Wang Wenbin said that China has always adhered to the principles of science, openness and transparency, participated in global scientific cooperation on traceability, and has twice invited WHO experts to China to carry out traceability research, and the Chinese WHO joint research report on traceability has drawn authoritative, professional and scientific conclusions, laying a good foundation for the next stage of global scientific traceability. The US side does not look at the facts, does not pay attention to science, politicizes the fight against the epidemic in the front, and uses the intelligence departments to carry out the so-called traceability investigation, and the political manipulation of the US side not only seriously affects its own anti-epidemic and makes the American people pay a tragic price, but also seriously undermines international anti-epidemic cooperation, seriously interferes with global scientific traceability, and is widely opposed by the international community.
Wang Wenbin stressed that we once again urge the US side to stop political manipulation and return to the right path of unity in fighting the epidemic and scientific traceability, and hope that the US side can also show transparency like China, carry out traceability research cooperation with WHO as soon as possible, respond to the legitimate concerns of the international community about the source of the virus in the United States in a timely manner, explain the suspension of the blood testing and traceability project in the United States, and open the Fort Detrick Biological Laboratory and the University of North Carolina for WHO to conduct traceability research.
