Last year, it was really not easy for the cultural and sports industry. But as musicians, we have not stopped, and we are all thinking about how to use ways to better and renew the culture of the country.
At present, in Tianhe District, we have been doing cultural integration in the Greater Bay Area. At the same time, I have been thinking about how to tell Chinese stories well, which is also a very important issue in the entire literary and sports industry.
Wang Xuan, she has many labels on her body, jazz singer, college teacher, once known as "the only doctoral jazz female singer in China"... As a representative of Guangzhou's jazz music industry, Wang Xuan has represented Guangzhou on many occasions to perform and exchange abroad, and has also appeared on stage in Haixinsha for many times.
Looking back on the past year, Wang Xuan is full of emotions, the epidemic has not stopped her, but another way to continue to use jazz and music to tell the story of Guangzhou.

In Wang Xuan's personal album "Blooming Blooming", a song "Quiet Night Thoughts" made many people's eyes shine. Since 2010, Wang Xuan began to create musical works with the "spirit of integration", through the integration of Tang poetry and song poetry and jazz music, Wang Xuan created a number of works with Lingnan characteristics such as "Zhaojun Out of the Plug", "Ketu Autumn Hate", "Quiet Night Thinking", "Looking at the Moon Huaiyuan", and successively appeared on the stage at home and abroad, actively promoting the image of Guangzhou city, in order to promote Lingnan culture.
Wang Xuan said that as a Guangzhou native, the fusion of Cantonese and jazz is an innate creative driving force and a feeling.
Music is borderless and the best language to link the people of the planet. Wang Xuan said that every time he goes out to communicate, it is an opportunity to show Lingnan culture. In November, Wang Xuan appeared in Haixinsha with her works, which was the first time she appeared on stage in Haixinsha after many years of absence, and when she talked about this, Wang Xuan's tone was full of emotion. While chatting, he took out his mobile phone to read the circle of friends records, "October 23, 2015, it was the first commercial performance of Haixinsha after the Asian Games, and I remember that the stage equipment was rebuilt at that time. ”
Five years have passed, during this period, Haixinsha and Huacheng Square have undergone tremendous changes, as the opening guest of the first Guangzhou International Outdoor Arts Festival, Wang Xuan has also witnessed the changes in Tianhe in the field of culture and art. "In the past, when Tianhe was mentioned, everyone knew that it was heavy business and light literature, but now, here is its own theater, there are net red cultural and creative parks, the grand theater continues to introduce performances that brush up the circle of friends, and more and more literary and artistic performances enter Haixinsha..." Wang Xuan said that here, there is no shortage of people who know how to appreciate art, for example, in 2018, Wang Xuan and his friends launched the "Renaissance Immersive Multimedia Art Exhibition", which was once the longest-running art exhibition in Tianhe District, attracting more than one million people to visit.
