The famous director and illustrator Mr. Makoto Wada died of illness at the age of 83.

Mr. Makoto Wada has been recuperating at home since more than a year ago. In July, he was hospitalized in Tokyo, and later suffered from pneumonia, and was peacefully separated under the protection of his family. In 1984, he directed "Sparrows And The Waves" to achieve a directorial debut, and his representative works include "Quick Thief Ruby" and "About Midnight".
