Shenyang, 20 Dec (Xinhua) -- The "Winter Snow Enchanting -- Exhibition of Winter Scenery Calligraphy and Paintings collected by the Imperial Palace in Shenyang" was recently launched at the Shenyang Imperial Palace ShishanZhai and Xiezhongzhai . More than 30 calligraphy and paintings with the theme of Ming and Qing dynasties and modern and modern winter scenes in the collection of the Imperial Palace museum in Shenyang are exhibited.

The broken jade flew down, and the qiong branches were oblique. Since ancient times, snow has attracted the poetry and arias of countless literati. The exhibition exhibits Wen Zhengming's "Landscape Map of Snow Scenery in The Color" of the Ming Dynasty, Lan Ying's "Residual Snow Map of the Broken Bridge", zhang Zongcang's "Snow Fishing Map of the Colored Cold River" of the Qing Dynasty, etc., or the scenery is magnificent, or the weather is quiet, or the solemn cold is condensed. Among them, especially zhang Pengchong's "Ink Pen Ancient Wood Hanshan Map" composed by Zhang Pengchong in the Qing Dynasty when he was 50 years old, the painter used simple and sparse brushwork to depict the depressed scene of curved shores and miscellaneous trees, a water crossing, and bald peaks and barren mountains.

Li Shengneng, director of the Palace Museum in Shenyang, said that the "three friends of the cold years" have always been a symbol of high character in traditional Chinese culture, and have often been used as the subject of calligraphy and painting throughout the ages. Xu Wei, one of the "Three Talents of the Ming Dynasty", painted the "Snow Banana Plum Bamboo Diagram" on display, which is short bamboo fine plum, broken banana leaves, and the composition is simple and novel with a pen. Also on display are Qing Dynasty painter Yun Shouping's "Ink Plum Diagram", Jin Nong's "Ink Pen Plum Blossom Diagram", Huang Shen's "Color Stepping on Snow to Find Plum Map", Zheng Wenzhuo, Wu Changshuo, Shang Shengbo's "Three Friends Of Color Year Han" and so on.

Li Shengneng said that the number of calligraphy paintings with the theme of winter scenery in the Imperial Palace of Shenyang is relatively large and there is no shortage of excellent works. It is hoped that while watching the frozen scenery of the northern country for thousands of miles, the audience can appreciate the depiction of winter scenes by successive generations of calligraphers and painters and the lyrical spiritual world they sent.

The exhibition will run until February 28, 2021.
