A new book from the 2021 Capital Development Report was released

The book launch ceremony of the 2021 Capital Development Report is an important part of the Peking University Capital Development New Year Forum (2021). The launch ceremony was presided over by Feng Changchun, Vice President of the Capital Development Research Institute of Peking University and Distinguished Professor of Liberal Arts of Peking University.

The 2021 Capital Development Report is a series of capital studies books jointly created by the Capital Development Research Institute of Peking University and the Science Press: one of the series of reports of the Capital High-end Think Tank of Peking University. As a centralized release and display carrier of the achievements of the new high-end think tank in the capital in the new era, the Capital Development Research Institute of Peking University integrated the original development report product in 2019, revised it in a unified version, and launched it in the form of "Peking University Capital High-end Think Tank Series Report", which achieved good social response.

Professor Li Guoping, editor-in-chief of the 2021 Capital Development Report, dean of the Capital Development Research Institute of Peking University, and chief expert of the Capital High-end Think Tank of Peking University, released the content of the report. 2021 is the first year of a new journey to build a modern socialist country in an all-round way, and it is also the first year of the 14th Five-Year Plan. Focusing on the new opportunities and challenges facing the capital Beijing in this new stage, the report summarizes the main characteristics and outstanding problems of the development of the capital city from the aspects of government affairs guarantee and international exchanges, economy, society, population, resources and environment, and spatial structure, and proposes that Beijing fulfills the major mission, new responsibility and new role of the capital of a big country in the new development stage. The report is divided into three parts: general, sub-article and special topic. The general discussion article analyzes the new situation and new challenges facing the capital Beijing during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, and then puts forward six new strategies for improving quality and efficiency, innovation-driven, people's livelihood priority, green development, space optimization, and resilience and security; the sub-article summarizes and analyzes The current characteristics, key issues and coping strategies of Beijing in five key areas: government affairs security and international exchanges, economic development and scientific and technological innovation, social development and public services, the construction of a harmonious and livable capital of population, resources and environment, and spatial structure and layout; Research on Countermeasures for Maintaining Urban Vitality under Population Regulation and Control Policies" and "Research on the Development of Architectural Design Industry in Beijing".

The report's analysis and summary of the stages of the capital's development, the current situation and problems, and the six new strategies proposed in the "14th Five-Year Plan" have had a positive impact, providing strong support for the construction of the Capital Development Research Institute of Peking University into a high-end think tank in the capital.
